A great knife for the price
I bought this as a Christmas gift for my girlfriend and it has been a favorite ever since. Her old knives arent very good and this is used every day now for at least one meal. Although the blade is thin it is strong and has been holding its edge well for the last 2 months. i can't speak to the long term durability of the edge-holding properties but I think it will last for a while with daily use.The handle is well machined and fits nicely on the tang, and the finish still looks new.The knife is well balanced and came sharp enough out of the box to cut really thin slices of soft tomatoes, yet handles much more dense items with ease.

This knife makes me feel stupid and happy at the same time
I used this knife today for the first time, and the experience was enlightening, to say the least. For years I had been using common serrated knives for just about all kitchen slicing and dicing without giving it much thought. Then I ran across a good Flint knife that was given to us as a wedding present in 1963 that had gone dull and was shoved to the back of a drawer. I sharpened it, and had an "AHA!" moment. Guess what, I said to myself, serrated knives are not sharp, they just have teeth. DUH. A forged knife can be SHARP. I bought this one as the first addition to what will be a new knife assortment. Who knew that slicing and dicing could actually be a pleasure with a great knife? ... (Rhetorical question. Obviously most everyone but me knew it.) This knife is sharp sharp sharp and also pretty. Rosewood! I'm so glad I got it!!!

Nice knife at a budget price! Handle needs oiling
Purchased this knife because it was so affordable at around $20-$22, had good reviews, and had the Santoku shape I prefer! It's been a great buy and made our chopping and cooking so much easier. Knife arrived in a nice heavy duty box with foam inserts that would look great gift wrapped.A couple of things to note- not dishwasher safe, most high end knives don't seem to be either. The handle is wood and was pretty dry when it arrived- I immediately put some wood butter (beeswax based) on the handle to help it feel better in my hand and to create a seal to help not absorb water/cooking smells and bacteria. The very bottom edge of the wood part of the handle is kind of sharp, it's all very sanded and smooth but still somehow a little sharp there. Not sharp like the blade or would cut you or anything, just something to be aware of. I tend to use to pinch grip more with this knife. All in all- excellent buy! I was looking at MadeIn and Misen and will probably try those eventually but wanted to check this less expensive one out first. Has remained nice and sharp a few weeks in. We don't let it sit in water or in the sink and there's been no stains on the metal. Still applying the wood butter on the handle whenever it feels a little dry. Haven't needed to sharpen it yet but have a sharpening rod to do so.

I love this knife!
This knife is a great value for the money. I wanted a good chef's knife but didn't want to spend over a hundred dollars on one. It is incredibly sharp and cuts through stuff like hot butter. It has a good weight and the handle is curved and fits nicely in my hand. I feel I have very good control with it. It would also make a good gift because it comes in a beautiful box. This knife is never going in the dishwasher or a drawer! It is rinsed and washed carefully and then dried and put back in its little box. I never understood how people could mince things because my knives could never do that. This one can! Be careful though... you could lose a fingertip! VERY good knife!

Try cutting shapes with food! So much fun.
The media could not be loaded. I REALLY wanted to make a fruit ninja video, but my grape video seemed safer.I originally bought this knife as a gift, but kept it one once I saw what it looked like, it's fancy and seemed like good quality. I now use it for charcuterie board items like meat, cheese, grapes, berries, and pastries. It has a large enough blade so the handle doesn't get in the way when cutting large items. It's also fun having a sharp enough knife to cut shapes with food. Two thumbs up 👍👍

GREAT KNIFE RETAINS SHARPNESS AND SHINE
This Santoku 7 inch kitchen knife replaces a very old one that cracked and broke at the heel. First, it was light compared to the one I replaced and it did not feel right but as I used it to cut meat, fruits, and veggies I was amazed how it retained it sharpness in cutting everything. I maintain its sharpness with WORK SHARP sharpener I bought at Cabellas. This is a great knife for the price and the cutting its doing so far!

Sharp!
My first "serious " knife!. I was looking for a knife (or little hatchet) to open a coconut, yes I was desperate, and this product came as a suggestion. Read the reviews and the price, and got it. Wow!, you really have to be careful with the sharpness of it. It went thru the coconut peel like butter!. Even my finger nail got some proof of the knife's sharpness. The design is comfy for my hands. I highly recommend this knife.

Really Nice Knife For the Price
Great knife for the cost. Comes in a beautiful gift box. The hozel is properly beveled to force your thumb and index finger to create the pivot point. The only thing I'd change is the no-taper on the very back of the blade edge. The right angle creates a dangerous point that already bit my wife. But that's all
