I don't know about the guys complaining about the battery, but i buyed mine from bay balley parts, and in a short, more than 2 hours at full brightness, yes i doesn't sound like much, but then add, web browsing, music, and other s*** you do on pc, and after that you can see it's a pretty good time, a sides i only paid (sorry for my english) 17 $, for that amount, i can't complaing, i simply can, the improvement for me, it's simply awesome, i'm writting this review, in battery mode, after 2 hours and 10 minutos of usage, and the metter says there's still 18 minutos left :D, as advice you guys complaing should know that the first thing you have to do when buying a new battery is calibrate it, that's givin it a full charge, then use in battery until the pc shut off itself, with that you increase your battery life time as the battery uses all the cells, plus it will gave you the correct measures, also, if you are using windows, tweak it, disable the visuals that you don't need, plus only run the programs that you need, there's no need for oovoo to be opened all the time, neither skype, etc, if you do your tweaking right, you can get a lot juice from this battery, oh by the way i forgot to mension i have been using my laptop at full brightness, an aweasome deal. though i must say that they only sended me the battery, no instrusions what so ever, but who cares, the battery works fine, and if i have any doubs google is there :D and i'm sorry for my english.

Hi, I don't normally post reviews for my purchases, but I was kind of mad at first because I didn't know what happened to my battery. I bought it and waited and waited and gave ATC bad feedback because I thought they somehow messed up the shipping. Turns out, because I was not home at the time they delivered it to my dad's p.o box. ATC had very friendly customer service and were willing to help me find a solution even if the battery didn't show up.. (I had assumed I wasn't going to see it turn up.) Nevertheless, I finally got the battery from my dad because we don't live together.. Anyways, about the product. Condition appears to be brand new as promised. I work at an electronics store, so I knew for maximizing battery life, the best way is to let the battery run completely out of juice and then give it a full charge. I can't even believe how long the battery is lasting right now.. a full charge is about 3.5 hours on a setting where my laptop has terrible energy efficiency. The battery that came with the laptop has NEVER been this good and I'm hoping that the battery will continue to keep this up. I know it's early to be writing such a commending review for the product, but for 27 dollars this was a steal, and I honestly wasn't worried because of the fast response times, and understanding by this seller. Definitely a excellent buy. Thanks so much!

I went to my local batteries plus store [about a year ago], and they wanted $115 for this battery.My gateway computer is about four years old, and the battery would only last for about 15 minutes. I guess that they do crap out in about this time frame. When I searched Amazon for computer batteries, I found this one. For the money it is unbelievable. I suppose that it will run the computer for an hour or two, but I don't like to run on the battery only, because the screen is dimmer. So, I leave it [the computer] plugged into the wall electricity all of the time. I suppose that this is stupid? Because it is teathered to a cord all of the time this way. Does the "dimmer screen" problem happen to everyone, or is it just me?

This was purchased to replace out OEM battery for our Gateway. The battery fit fine and it holds its charge well. In a non-specific way I would say the charge lasts as good as the OEM. I say non-specific because I haven't timed the original nor this battery but rather my observations are approximate. I'm aware that reviews for this battery are all over the place so it may be a quality control issue. Ours worked fine out of the box and for the price, it was worth taking a chance since most reviews were positive and OEM Gateway batteries are around 3X the price. We've had this battery for about a month and a half, now.

Before purchasing the name brand battery for our laptop I read the reviews on the lower price alternatives. Some of the reviewer's comments caused me to question the intelligence of buying the lowest cost battery. The comments that pushed me to avoid the low-cost alternativer were-----the plug was faulty, or it only lasted a couple of months, or the plug got hot. I decided to spend the extra money because the old saying "quality long remembered after price is forgotten" rings true here. Go ahead, buy the good one, you want it, you know you can afford it, go ahead and buy it.

Battery is a replacement for my Gateway P-7805u FX.The original battery was actually not flush with the back of the laptop as it was a bulkier and higher capacity battery.I could not find the exact replacement but this option was supposedly a part that would work.It fits well but so far does not hold the charge as well as the old one did but that was to be expected. I rarely use my laptop unplugged but my old one was failing and wouldn't charge at all.Overall, it's been working just fine and I'm happy with it.

I purchased this battery to replace my original oem battery that came with my Gateway laptop. I was going out of town for a week and needed a battery to keep my laptop running while I was traveling. The battery performed well (2 to 2.5 hours) for the first couple of months but as time passed it seemed to hold less and less charge. It has been just over four months since my purchase and the battery only lasts about an hour. Honestly I don't use the battery that much, I usually have my laptop plugged in. My advice to anyone who may be considering this battery is to spend a little more for a better quality battery. As the saying goes, "you get what you pay for." Amazon has been awesome though, I called to see about getting the battery replaced and they said they would give me a full refund, no need to return the battery!
