Yes, you will need an HDMI cable to connect to your smart TV, but this adapter works great on my Samsung Smart TV

I'm not sure, but it works on ps2 fat!

Will this work for PS1 Slim ?

Most likely so. I haven't tested it on a PS1 but considering the PS1 and PS2 can borrow cables from each other, it's easily possible.

So is this worth buying at all ??

Only if you own a newer tv and want to use a ps2, new tvs don’t recognize the low resolution input from a ps2
