Saved our unprepared sorry behinds from severe basement damages
It'll leak. I get basement floods a lot so I use it to form a barrier. Eventually it'll swell up (not much though, you can't really tell) and it's good enough to prevent mass damages...better than if I didn't have it down. It will still leak though and water will eventually get through so sometimes I reenforce it by stacking side by side. Water will still go through but considering what would happen if I didn't lay it down?? It's a lot of help. It's reusable too. I wouldn't suggest wringing the water out as the material isn't really sturdy looking enough to withstand a lot of wringing, but what I do do is take it outside, step on it a little and it'll get most of the water out, lay it out in the sun until next floods. Works perfectly fine next time.I brought it once, saved our sorry behinds.Everyone in the house loved it.Went back and ordered another box.

A product that really works, just purchase my second order
Love this product. everytime it would rain we would get some backwash into the garage, have tried other products that were a lot more expensive that this one. We put them down just where water was coming in from under the door and it worked as it was suppose to. "No water came in" If the tube is only lightly wet, I keep it. Have also set them out in the Sun to try but they don't look as good, they will still work, but the material inside does not hold up as good. Have also found these tubes are good at keeping the cold out in the winter. put them in front of the garage door and some windows and has helped with the winter draft coming in. There are a lot in the box, the box is light so easy to move around. Will never use another product, these are the Best Buy for your money. I purchased this over a year ago and still have enough for 2 more years if I start throwing the used ones away.

This product does absorb water but they seem to be ...
This product does absorb water but they seem to be very messy with the stuffing that come out and I have found once they are saturated, they need to be throw out as their consistency changes. I use them on our boat where the windshield has a gap. We have gone through a few already and find they absorb but don't dry out well.

Not the best product. Read Below.
Purchased these because after living in our house for 20yrs we started having water come in downstairs. Wanted to protect finished room.PROS:1.They do absorb water.2. Will expand with water absorbtion.CONS:1. They do not absorb as much water as advertised.2. VERY, VERY hard to dry for reuse.3. Very flimsy outer material 3 burst at seams and at their ends as they expanded with water absorbtion.4. THEY ARE NOT MILDEW AND MOLD RESISTANT. SEE PICTURES: AFTER ONE USE, SOCKS TOOK A WEEK HANGING IN THE SUN FROM DECK TO COMPLETELY DRY. THE INSIDE FILL FORMED LARGE HARD CLUMPS AND WHEN WE TOOK THEM OUT TO USE MOLD WAS IN ALL OF THEM.We left ours hanging outside in the open with sun exposure for 3days and they did not dry out. They are hard to wring by hand. Whatever you do, DO NOT DRY IN YOUR WASHING MACHINE! as a customer said above. If they burst from the force of your machines spin cycle, you are really messed up. The tiny water absorbing lint-like material with its moisture absorbing beads will clog your water pump. It isnt hard to take the machine apart and unclog, but most will call a professional and it certainly does cost. Not to mention they will probably try to get you to replace the pump instead of unclogging it. This happened to us years ago with a dog bed. So we learned.I previously ordered another brand of water sock that cost a little more. These are gray. They are not filled with the same terrible filling. They do not hold water so tight. I can suck them practically dry in a matter of minutes with shop vac. You get what you pay for.We are throwing these out (when they are dry enough). WISH I COULD RETURN THESE!! Take my advice pay a little more for a better product.

Do not put in dryer!
Our sunroom floods everytime it rains. we got these to prevent the water from getting into our kitchen. They are fabulous and have saved us many times. The water comes in faster than our shop vac can keep up so these are very helpful. Just don't put in the dryer they'll burst open. If you put them in the washing machine to spin the liquid out that seems to be fine. They can take a while to dry out if over saturated.

Just ok-there are better
These are just ok! I find they don’t absorb as good as others I have bought. Would not buy these again.
