Service was great and got someone out
Waiting for 8 months for serviceSo the rotisserie motor blew out at service, this was in Jan its August and we are still waiting for the partIn addition if you don't close the over door gently or set something on the stove top the wrong way the motor on the fan has something that comes loose that it hums so loudly you can't have a conversation.Customer service has always responded back, but have so far put in multiple requests for the part and on one occasion sent a repair man w the wrong parts, huge waste of my time off work.Satisfaction declining

Terrible and very poorly made Range with extremely poor parts availability and customer service. DO NOT Buy!
We bought the 24" version of this range. It is exactly the same but with 4 burners. The shape, appearance, finish, clock and controls are all the same. This is a very unreliable over/range with extremely poor customer service and parts availability.I bought this range from Designer Appliances in the summer of 2015. The dealer has been absolutely amazing thus far, with great customer service and prompt delivery. As another reviewer stated, the unit is wired differently and so I had to go and buy the correct plug for 220V. I plugged it all in and everything seemed to work fine. No biggie here.My wife and I noticed right away that the three smaller burners were hard to light. When lighting the burner you have to hold the knob down for a very long time before it ignites but immediately blows out once you let go of the knob. This process of reigniting had to be repeated couple of time before the burner stayed lit. We thought this would be something that we have to get used to and so didn't really worry about it. Boy were we wrong!.The burners got considerably worse over the next few weeks with the smallest burner refusing to light at all. No matter what finicky movements you do with the knob, the smallest burner will not light. We finally resorted to using a hand lighter to light the small burner. Shortly after, the top right burner stopped lighting with the knob and so we began using the hand lighter for this as well. Shortly after, the oven clock went out meaning we couldn't use the oven. This was getting very annoying and so we called Fagor for warranty service and they scheduled a service guy to come over. Here is our story(skip to the end of a summary);1. 1st service guy somes, checks out the range and reports that he sees the obvious light issue especially with the smallest burner.2. He cleans all the burners, checks all the pipes and calls Fagor to order new parts. He reported that he sees some internal issues with the small burner. He leaves empathizing with our predicament.3. I get an email after couple weeks or so stating that the service company is no more and that my service cannot be completed. What the?4. I get another email stating that a service guy was on the way to check out our range. Interesting because there was no mention on whether he would be installing the parts the 1st guy ordered. Suggesting that this service guy is probably from another service company.5 2nd Service guy looks at the range and according to my wife, he touches pretty much nothing, gets on a call with Fagor and finally states to my wife that "nothing needs to be done, everything works as it should. This is how this range functions". Really? a 4 burner gas range that has non-functional small burner and two hard to light burners with a broken oven clock?6. I pretty much gave up on Fagor service and so called New Leaf extended warranty (I had bought new leaf 5 year warranty). After going back and forth with them, they tell me that they cannot service this unit since the problems reported were within the Manufacturers warranty period. So I would have to go back to Fagor.7. Already 7 - 8 months have passed by with all the waiting for service guys and all the calling and emails going back and forth between Fagor and New Leaf. During this time the faithful large burner gave out in a blaze of glory. Yes! you read it right. Fire blew out the back of the unit, followed by a clunk and the sweet smell of gas. My father in law ran out and shut off the gas supply and my wife called me immediately. I head home and turn the gas back on and check for leaks and find none. but the large burner stopped working all together. I should be filing a lawsuit. But we are living in the US where money is hard to come by and the little we have is being saved. So we are now down to one working burner, and two that has to be lit with a hand lighter.8. I called Fagor again and asked them to please service my unit immediately and I cannot wait any longer with this broken unit. They do their usual slow dance and finally send out a service guy from 'Best service company'.9. Best Service was awesome. The guy who came took apart the entire unit and checked everything. He confirmed that the large burner is indeed blowing fire out the back because it is leaking gas into the compartment and igniting it. He also confirmed that the small burner is indeed broken. the other two with some cleaning he was able to restore some functionality where pushing the knob for 5seconds or more will light them. He fixes the oven clock and we have a working oven.10. He calls Fagor and orders all the necessary parts.11. Parts from Fagor do not arrive. Best Service company calls me couple weeks later and reports that Fagor is unresponsive and requests me to push them. I call Fagor and I tell them that you guys are just getting extremely frustrating to deal with. They say, the factory is having trouble locating parts. WHAT? So their inability to locate parts is my problem? We have been very patient and this is how Fagor treats their customers.12. I notify the Dealer 'Design appliances' of my troubles and the agent is immediately on my case and makes a call to Fagor asking them to service my needs as soon as possible.12. 4 weeks go by and still nothing. I call Best and request an update and Best says that they have no updates from Fagor.13. I notify Designer Appliances and request a refund or store credit because I have had enough of this Shit from Fagor.Bottom line. I will not buy from Fagor again. I will instead buy something from a more reliable manufacturer who will honor their customers (Whirlpool, LG or GE). New Leaf extended warranty is also a scam, they are a waste of money. The only silver lining so far has been Designer Appliances and Best Service Company for their outstanding customer service.

Bad control board....again!
We purchased the RFA 365 - 36" oven and have had two control boards go out in less than a month. The most recent "outage" was at last nights homemade pizza party with 6 hungry kids sharing the first and only pizza that was in the hot oven when the board failed! When we purchased the oven from a local distributor the oven went straight into our garage for nine months while we completed our kitchen remodel. Once ready to install our electrician had to wire the outlet for the unit since it is wired for European electric, once done the unit was turned on. The stove top worked but oven clock failed to light up and if this doesn't work the oven will not fire up. We imeadiatley called the service line and with the direction of the Fagor rep our electrician verified power was correctly wired and metered correctly. All was good electrically and done right. The rep quickly determined the control board was bad and needed to be replaced with another, of course he told us it was on back order and would be awhile before it arrived. Two months later the new board arrived and one week later a service tech arrived and replaced the board. The unit finally worked. The stove top has always worked and seems to do a really nice job of even cooking which is nice if you are into cooking as we are. Once the oven was back working we were happy with the overall performance although it ran about 50 degrees hotter than its setting so we placed a thermometer inside the oven to know the heat. The rotisserie was used once and it did a nice job although I would not have anything heavier than 3-4 pound chicken on the spit since the metal is rather light weight. The handled on the door is loose on one side and is a concern because access to the screw holding the handle in place is behind glass adhered to the metal door frame, I suppose the tech replacing our next board will be able to do something to tighten it although he may not.As the first and only pizza was in the oven I turned away for a few minutes and came back and noticed the blue lights for the clock were out on the face of the oven...I rolled my eyes and knew what to expect, the oven was officially out again! I called and left a voice message with Fagor because of course it was 7 PM on a Friday night so no help was coming anytime soon. I told myself at the time we ordered the first board to have a second one sent because if something is on back order there is reason. I did not do this and sure enough the board is in need of replacement.Something is wrong with the Fagor board so I would be wary of buying anything Fagor again. I imagine to keep costs down they source cheaper electronics for use in their products and as a result the boards fry and then nothing works. Overall performance was good but if the thing doesn't turn on then it can't be used so it gets a zero rating.
