HSA-6554 5-1/4"-6-1/2" Speaker Adapter for 2003-up Honda Accord (pair)

First things first.... These are general speaker adapters / brackets, so modifiations will be needed to mount your speaker to the bracket, depending on what speakers you purchase. The upper tab that clips into the door shell is thin، so exercise caution when you are reinstalling everything. For my infinity Reference 6 1/2-in speakers, I had to use one of the trim rings that came with the speakers to mount the speaker to the adapter.

I searched long and hard to find an install bracket for an aftermarket upgrade that would fit as the factory bracket did with the (crappy) factory speaker. I went to Crutchfield, a few Honda OEM sites, checked out just about everywhere, then I found these. These perfectly and without alteration fit the odd speaker cutout in the front doors as well as the 3 "prong" clip (2 on the bottom of the bracket and 1 on the top) for my 2006 Honda Accord EX 4 door sedan. There were many videos, most of them having to either alter the original factory bracket to accommodate an after market speaker upgrade while some had people "manufacturing" their own. The bracket is absolutely necessary to allow room for the magnet recessed in the door and still allow room for the automatic windows to roll down. This is PERFECT!!!

Fits in my 05 Accord door well, but I can’t put a 6 1/2” speaker in the bracket like it says it fits.

I've been searching for the right adapter for my car and speakers ( Kenwood KFC-D161 6.5 Inch 2-Way ) and finally found the one. This is the only adapter that I bought that works and fits perfectly. To save time and money, do yourself a favor and just buy this one.

Perfect fit for my 6-1/2 door speakers!!! ......... Just a heads up...... Be aware that the style of speaker does matter. The Memphis speakers I got had additional holes around edges of the speaker basket which allowed a place to mount on the brackets. If you purchased a speaker that only has those four outside corner mounting points these will not work because they will overlap the outside with no way to install them to the bracket. Overall a snug fit and looks factory!!

Some reviewers state these do not work with 6.5" speakers - that is partially incorrect.These will work with 6.5" speakers that have a mounting width (hole to hole) of approx 145cm. Most of the higher end 6.5" speakers seem to be attempting to push closer to 6.75" mounting sizes - including most JBL, Infinity etc.Most of the Pioneer 6.5" speakers should fit this (except the 4-way TS-A series which use wider mounts). The Alpine J-series speakers fit as well (though their higher end speakers do not).So yes, you can fit 6.5" speakers but make sure the hole to hole diameter is small enough.

These were the perfect thing for my installation. In my 2006 Honda Accord, the speakers from the factory have an integral mounting bracket that is just like these adapters. I easily screwed my Pioneer TS-A1676R 6.5-Inch 3-Way Speakers to these mounti9ng bracket/adapters, and then the adapters just snapped into the door panels. I did pull some of the mounting foam strips off of the factory speakers and stuck it to the back of these adapters to ensure that I didn't get any vibrations. But the installation was so snug I had to remove some to get it to fit with the foam. Given this, the foam may not even be necessary.All in all I was very satisfied with these adapters for my project.

This product is listed for Honda Accord but I can 100% verify that it also fits a 2003 Honda Civic Sedan EX as shown in the pictures. This product is exactly what you need to ensure your 6.5 inch speakers will fit correctly in the front doors. I installed Kicker DSC650 speakers as shown. Hope this helps anyone with this generation Honda Civic as it was difficult to find the correct adapters. These are a perfect fit.
