6PC 1/4" 3/8" 1/2" STEEL TAP & DIE TOOL THREADER THREAD KIT PIPE THREADING

This tap / cutter set was a savior in my time of need. Because these sizes you do not find in a usual set.The quality is good and you can very well drill a new thread with it. However, I have tried it so far only in aluminum.However, only the smallest tap fits in a usual hand tool. For the two larger ones I would take a wrench.For the external thread cutters there are ratchet tools.Only because buyers had asked about it.Overall, also because of the price, I think the set is recommendable.

For the quality and what's included, this set is a great value. Taps and dies works as expected. Wooden case might arrive broken, so have your wood glue and your clamps handy.

Has gotten me out of some messes, they work and arent cheap garbage, used one to put threads onto a galvanized pipe.. used a pipe wrench, a lot of cutting fluid and a pipe vise but it didnt snap like ive seen some dies do. And for a fraction of what they would cost you from any big box store

Great for repairing damaged threads. Have you up to use them for cutting threads

All three taps were very dull. They may work to cut threads in plastic but no way they would cut steel.

Bought this on a whim, and within the 1st month had used it several times to chase damaged threads on 1/2 pipe. These won't cut new threads, but they make damaged threads as good as new (pipe still has to be round). Well worth the price.

They work great but a t-handle would improve it
