Is this really canvas? The initial description states canvas bbq cover, but the details states polyester with pvc lining. Which is it?

The outside is some sort of tough fabric. It could be polyester. The inside is plastic, probably PVC. Overall, it is a durable and waterproof cover.

How are the Velcro straps supposed to work? My cover has two straps sewn back-to-back on the same seam on the inside on the cover.

I do not have Velcro, it has a pull string to tighten. Thin and tight on grill. Hoping to make thru one season

Does this cover have a zipper on the bottom to totally encase the grill inside the cover?

No, it has elastic on the bottom. Totally covers the grill.
