I can tell you that the Simpsons shaving brush has a knot or brush made of badger hair (I would call it a hybrid between badger and wild boar because of the texture it has) It is clearly not a synthetic knot shaving brush, Simpsons manufactures many models some of them without are synthetic but this one in particular is Pure Badger hair.

This is a natural badger fiber. As such, the fiber color will vary slightly from batch to batch. Overall brush height - 92mm Handle height - 50mm Knot loft - 42mm Knot diameter - 18mm Weight - 50g
