Not bad!
I wasn’t ready to get a foredom but my hand held rotary tool peaced out so I definitely needed something. This guy is great for the price. As a jeweler, this tool has made what I need efficient af. The pedal has good control as long as you are gentle, I guess. If you’re gentle with the pedal the tool really does the work for you, if that makes any sense. I’m sure as long as I am gentle and keep up with maintenance, it will last as long as I need it to. If you’re a jeweler and need something in a pinch, spend the extra few bucks for this guy.

cord dangerously flesh-burningly overheated and broke down
I really liked this tool, and I've had it for about 3 ½ years now of working on projects. Unfortunately the cord itself just overheated and burnt out. I've experienced the handle heating up before and I would let it sit and cool down when that happened, but this time it was the cord itself just below the handle for the tool so I didn't notice the problem until the whole thing shut down and broke. It was a scary way for it to break down, and I'm super disappointed to be out my main work tool. And in case anyone is wondering about material/force being applied, I was gently sanding soft wooden baby bowls so I could re-finish them- definitely not a task that should've caused the cord to get flesh-burningly hot.

Chuck key doesn't work, need a new one
I would love to stay with the company and keep the same bits but this chuck key doesn't work. I'd like to get a new one with them if I can

Does what I expect and I expect a lot.
This tool has certainly simplified my bladesmithing, especially when doing handle work, it is very versatile and easy to use and I like that the bits don't slip out and are easy to change out. Not only does this do everything I want, but it came at a fantastic value for my money

Cheap bench rotary
It works well 6 months on and the pedal is still working, no issues with the main body either my only complaint is the pedal cord could be about 1 foot longer.

Flex Shaft Grinder
There was plenty of power but the issue I had’ was the the top of the flex shaft, the part that held the various tools, would not stay in the shaft. I don’t know if it was supposed to had been fixed in place, held in by magnets, or tightened using the locking nut, but none of it worked. At one point while using it, it flew off and probably flew about two feet. Another time it just popped up and landed on by hand. There was no trouble shooting guide in the manual? It was highly rated so I may have had a lemon?? Customer service number is over seas, so I attempted to email without a reply, so that also was of concern for any future issues. I returned the flex shaft grinder.

Good unit for the price.
This replaces a Foredom that I had for many years. It seems to be comparable all around. So far I am pleased with the quality and performance. For the price, it is even more attractive.
