Chocks Away...!!!
Having flown the likes of Falcon 4.0, Jane's F15 and the bug-fest Lock On, to name but a few, I expect a lot of flight sims.I am pleased to say F/A-18 ODS does actually provide a decent game experience. I have enjoyed working through the successive missions which build up gradually in difficulty. All the usual weapons and mission-types are here.I have to say that the one thing that lets this game down is the graphics. When I saw the quality of the graphics, I immediately set off looking for the graphics/video page so I could whack up the settings. It was with incredulous disbelief that I realised it was already on max. "Lock On" has graphics, (when it works), that are quite literaly cinematic in quality. There's nothing cinematic about this. It looks very dated indeed.Another menu item missing is the "campaign" section. Single player action is limited to a list of unrelated missions.Fortunately I paid just over a tenner for this, so I can say I've had a few hours fun flying missions over Iraq, and have had value for money from the gameplay. What a shame the developers didn't take the opportunity to deliver something with a bit more polish.

VA VA VOOM
this is a really good title the game runs really smoothly i have a radeon 9550 and it runs on full quality with 3ghz processor it is quite hard to master as it took me ages to learn how to take off and land then there is the small matter of actually shooting down targets and destroying land targets its not a case of point and shoot you have to do it as a real pilot would, i know now why they get so much pay!!!!! its hard, but with practice it becomes easier, i beleive this game is designed by an ex F18 pilot or summat so all the controls you get in an F18 are on this game so expect not an easy flight (pardon the pun)
