Barbie Collector It's A Girl with Stuffed Bunny and Doll Stand

My granddaughter was born earlier this year, so when I found a Barbie doll that was entitled “It's A Girl” from this year, it was a natural purchase. My intent is to buy this doll and then buy the annual Birthday doll each year for her as well. The doll will sit on a shelf in her (very pink) bedroom until she is old enough to play with it and then I hope she will have lots of fun with her dolls as did her Mommy and her Auntie when they were little girls.The doll has very pale skin tone, blue eyes, soft pink lips and nail polish. She has a long blonde ponytail hairdo with a side part and side swept bangs. The bangs are somewhat fixed in place with a stiffening product but I am sure they will be able to be combed through when put into play.She has a lovely closed mouth mold which those who care about it is the Mackie mold. Her right arm is bent and has four fused fingers. This is the arm which can be used to “hold” the included bunny. Her left arm is straight and the thumb and pinkie are not fused on this hand while the three remaining fingers are fused. Her right leg is straight but her left leg is slightly bent at the knee. I also noted that her legs seem to be a solid vinyl-type material as opposed to the holly leg dolls I have seen in other Barbie's this year. Her feet are fashioned for high heels versus the flat foot dolls that are newer.Barbie wears a soft pink woven polyester front pleat style dress with a tiny ditsy print of dots and pink bows in a slightly darker pink. At her waist is a sewn in belt with a large bow in a darker pink The dress closes in the back with hook and loop (velcro) style closure. She has stiletto heels in a pink that matches her bow.The doll has tiny simulated pearl earrings that are perfectly in scale with her body size. They are held in place and are not removable though they do slide in and out about a quarter of an inch. Additionally, a soft flannel pink bunny is included in the set. The bunny is ever so slightly stuffed, as delicately stitched eyes and mouth and a bow on its ears. The colors match those of Barbie's clothes.Along with everything else, the doll includes a stand-on stand to hold her in place. The stand works very well and will be perfect for holding this doll on my granddaughter's decorative shelf.

Used this Barbie as an attachment to my daughters shower gift. We always loved Barbie and I thought this one was just perfect. Very cute!

A very pretty doll. Her skin tone with the pink of the dress go really well together. The only mishap would be that her hair is actually yellow-ish and not blonde as in the promotional picture.

As a fan of most things pink and girly I have to say I love this doll. Her clothes are very simple, but the details are gorgeous, from her lovely Mackie face to her painted nails and matching bow and pumps. She's not at all flamboyant and there is a real warmth to her. The box is perfect; slim, very tough and able to withstand manhandling while also offering an excellent view of the doll (though she also comes with a stand if you want to display her). The poem on the back is sweet without being overly schmaltzy, even to a child-free collector like myself.This doll is great for baby showers but is also a very pretty doll to have if you just like tasteful, fresh-faced dolls who are not slutty-looking or too heavily plastered in makeup. I wish Mattel would make more dolls like this for girls and I am very sad that they seem to have discontinued the line after just two dolls. I hope they bring the series back for 2018.

C'est une bonne idée de cadeau. C'est une poupée douceur, modèle très sympa. J'aime bien. Elle va bien avec sa sœur/amie qui porte un nounours rose, elles vont bien ensemble.
