Satisfactory
My kids loves it, easy to set up and no issue so far. Sad enough, the model has being discontinued by the manufacturer as my friends wants exactly this model.

Well worth the $$
Bought this pool last summer for me and my boyfriend. Gave us a summer of enjoyment! Took it down in the fall and cant wait to put it back up this spring at our new house. Took 3 of us about and hr and half to 2 hours to put up the whole thing. Took about 2 days to fill and our water bill was only around $100 more then normal, if that. Not bad, thought it would be alot more. Very easy assembly (just dont put the clips on upside down around the top..haha. That was a pain to remove em after being half way done and realizing woopsy. Everything is sturdy and made out of good materials. Nothing cheap. People complained of the ladder and or pump. We had friends over that were heavier then us and no problems, I just wouldnt suggest the ladder to a 195+lb man. The skimmer even lasted all summer, no breakage. And as far as the pump goes, it did burn out at the Very end of summer/early fall. And I can honestly say that was my fault. I cleaned the pool every morning and late afternoon of debris and leaves but towards the end of the season we got busy and I started slacking and it burnt out. But it stayed strong all summer running 24/7. Just make sure every 2 weeks or so to replace that filter in the pump. I even hosed it off and reused a few times as long as it wasnt too icky. Whatever you do tho, make sure you place it (the pool and pump) on level ground. Our yard was a little off, but only we noticed, it didnt effect the pool at all, it was just goofy when you were in it cause obviously there was about 5-8" less water on one side..haha. The vacuum technique works well too. I would use plain old nylons once our bag ripped, or the puppy chewed it up and the nylons worked great, even held more leaves and debris then the original mesh bag they give you. Would definitely reccomend this pool to every and anyone!!! Excellent to lounge in the summer with a cold beer in hand!

Time. Well... spent.
This is our third generation of Intex pool, and so far, this pool has held up very well. It appears to be solidly built, and we have great fun in the thing. Still, there are several things you should be aware of: * First, while others may not agree, it does need to be on a level surface (per the manufacturer's instructions). Yes, it will still function if it isn't level, but if you've ever seen videos of these pools giving way, you wouldn't want your children taking a 3900-gallon ride across the lawn. We spent 2 days leveling the ground with tillers, garden rakes, and used a string-level. We "decked" the area with pressure-treated plywood. While we're still off by about an inch, there are no bulbous areas, so we're going with it. We did all this because the first time we set it up, we didn't use the plywood (I'm not suggesting that you'll have to use plywood, but you'll need firm dirt/grass), and the pool sank on one side by 4". We've filled this thing twice in 2 weeks (on well water). Still, it's my fault for not packing the soil better (level, water to get air pockets out, pound, re-level, repeat). * Setup of the pool itself is relatively easy. While Intex has two bikini-clad stick figure drawings setting up the pool in their manual, I recommend wearing more clothing because you still have to wrestle a little with the pool when you're trying to unfold it and insert the anchor pins. * It takes a long time to fill (it's a huge pool). I'm not on city water, and both fill times were approximately 20 hours. I would guess that with reasonable pressure, people on city water could probably fill it in 8 hours. * You may hear about underpowered filters. This is true. Intex is in the business of making money, and one way they generate a lot of it is by including underpowered filters with their pools. The filter that came with this set is the same we bought to replace the underpowered filter that came with our 12'x 30" pool. While this filter seems to be working sufficiently, it's pretty clear to see the dead spots where water isn't moving. While we have no plans to upgrade, we've had to use minimal amounts of algicide twice to treat the water, and the water is clear. You may have better results, but do not be surprised if you tire of the filter. * Consider a saltwater chlorinator. We've had very good results with ours. * The unit comes with a skimmer basket. In our experience, debris gets past the basket quite easily, and gets stuck beneath the basket, slowing the pull from the filter. (With a saltwater chlorinator, you can expect a "low flow" warning quite often. Turn off the main filter, reach in and pull the muck out, and you're good to go.) * The ladder is serviceable but doesn't have the stability I thought it might -- everyone climbs into the pool slowly. * The net that came with the product broke off of the pole on its first use, but that might just be me being too forceful with a june bug that wouldn't let go.Overall, the product is a good one, but be prepared for a lot of work if your ground isn't level, and for the possible expense of a filter upgrade.

WE LOVE THIS POOL
We bought this pool last Memorial Day (2006) and have left it up all winter (fortunately we really don't have winter near Houston though) and it has been great. It took almost two weeks to get the chemicals/levels of the water correct and since then it has been clear with very little maintenance. We leave the pump running pretty much all the time and keep a chlorine floater in all the time and other than cleaning the filter and replacing it every few months and occasional vacuuming that's it! MUCH better than an inflatable ring pool (we had one the year before and took it down and gave it away), definitely worth a few more $. We shopped and shopped and haven't regretted this purchase at all. It's that time of year that I started shopping every year before for an inexpensive pool so hope this helps anyone looking.

Clean,clear,refreshing
Sure beats the 20,000 + price tag of an in ground. If you don't care about aesthetics this pool is great. It's easy to clean, but you will need to upgrade the pump. The initial pump lasted the first year, then had to be replaced. I went with the same type pump but with a higher gallon rating, that lasted less than a year. I then went with Intex-56633EG-2500-Gallon-Filter-Pump. It took a little retrofitting to attach the new larger hoses to the pool, but works great and moves a lot of water. It also runs my pool vac very well. The ladder just rusted through after two yrs, 6 months of that the ladder was removed. The pool is uneven by about an inch without causing any problems,it gives us a shallow end and deep end.
