works good at helping your core strengthen. I do wish it had a bit more "wobble" in the base for more balance.

I love my Buoy! I use it at my home office desk. It helps me maintain core strength. It turns very easily and stores under the desk. I tried a few more traditional office chairs and the Buoy has been the most comfortable for my back.

Love mine but few things come in the way to make the experience overall not so great1- the cushion is too thin, the only way to not feel numb on the butt is to constantly rock the chair back and forth, i simply added a cushion on top, helps but would rather keep the chair as is since i love the design2- only one handle? moving the chair is awkward and hard while seating on it, you need to stand up and grab the handle on one side and put your hand flat on the other, second handle hellooo ??3- Expensive?4- Too expensive !5- No really :( it should be around $100 not double that !!!

We have these Steel Case buoys at the high school I work at. I have a bulging disk in my lower spine so traditional office chairs are a no go for me. The buoy allows me to sit with no pressure to the effected area. They do help with core. No the padding isn’t thick so it’s perfect for me and my spine issues. On another note these are tough as nails. I have seen them take a major beating int the school and they hold up. So yes I plan on buying one for my house. The price of this doesn’t bother me because I know it will last. If it can make it in the Highschool environment then being in a home office will be a piece of cake. I have read reviews where they complained about the price. They are no more expensive then a good office chair. Yet the good office chair will eventually wear out in its comfort the buoy won’t

I love that there is an adjustable height component. It is comfortable and keeps me engaged physically and mentally while staring at the screen at work.
