BEAUTIFUL BOOK!

I am 70 years old and I won this exact book in a poster contest when I was 8. The book I had was a mess, the front cover had fallen off, the spine had fallen off ... it was just toast. I hated to toss it, and looked up and shockingly, here it is! Same cover, same illustrations inside, same stories. I just wanted another copy and I let my old one go ... So very pleased!

Not for kids!

The illustrations are beautiful.The 2nd fairy tale disgusted me as it was about a father wanting to marry his daughter. White skin colour is glorified as a beauty standard and sooty looked down on. It is too simplistic and poorly written. I haven't finished reading this but clearly inappropriate for the recommended age group.
