how long is the strap?

It’s adjustable and provided plenty of length to attach to the console then to the wall with length to spare. Mine is already attached so I can’t measure it.

How long does the furniture to wall strap go?

it is adjustable I guess about 6 inches to two feet.

What sized socket and drill bit are needed to install

It tells you in the kit, good instructions

Can the wall strap be mounted upwards to support some of the weight of the tv or is the only option to mount it lower than the tv height to secure it?

I wouldn't recommend it. Not sure the screws in the TV would be rated to carry all of the weight on 2 screws of the VESA moutn instead of 4

Very sturdy.

I Recommend Buying It

I rarely do DYI projects so not very good at stuff like this and is why I put 3 stars for easy to install. I found my brain (I have brain fog) had a hard time figuring out how to sinch both the straps (attached to the tv) up so they are both taught or one strap is taught but the other not very taught or doing much of holding the tv to the tv stand (only one strap attached to the tv is). You might be able to see in my pic that the strap on my right is a little bit more taught then the strap on my left. I'm sure most people will find it very easy to install. I installed or buckled it to my tv and the tv stand it sits on. Even though not sinched perfectly: I'm very happy with it. It does a good job of keeping my tv from tipping over and falling off my tv stand. I gave it 4 stars for value since it would have to be free to get 5 stars from me :).

Perfect fix!!!

This is a GREAT product!! We just got a new TV and it was bigger than what we had before in our bedroom. I was super afraid me or one of the kids were going to knock it over. I prefer to wall mount my TVs but we’re getting ready to paint/move and I didn’t want to deal with mounting it to the wall at this time. For $15 this was the perfect fix!! It was super easy to install, I did it myself. The instructions were so easy to follow. They even gave you exact sizes you needed on the drill bits. The hardest part was trying to tighten the straps once everything was in place…I figured out it was easier to get a step ladder and reach over the TV to get everything nice and tight. This TV is not going ANYWHERE!! Very impressed with this product! I highly recommend to anyone who is clumsy or has kids!!

Excellent set up but the strap to attach from wall to furniture is only 6” long

The strap is very heavy duty and it comes with EXCELLENT instructions and the most complete set of screws I’ve ever seen for anything (safety device or furniture). Only problem is that the strap to anchor the piece to the wall is only 6 inches long (the rest of the straps are super long and adjustable) so I could only attach it to the tv stand not to the wall (the double attachment is recommended in the instructions).

Hold Tight

Easy instructions to follow once you make the choice in how you want it attached. Went for the back of the entertainment console. Mark the center, position the TV. Mount the straps to the TV. Adjust the straps for the buckle to the desired spot and sink the screw. Simple, easy and worked perfectly.

Requires Studs. No dry wall screws.

This TV mount gets the job done, but installation was trickier than expected. It needed to go through a stud instead of drywall, so I had to shift my TV about 6 inches over to make everything line up. Now my TV isn’t exactly where I wanted it, which is a bit frustrating.Another issue is that the connector feels like it could be twisted too easily, which could accidentally disconnect it if you’re not careful. For a mount aimed at keeping things secure for kids, I would’ve liked a sturdier design that didn’t feel like it could come loose so easily. I added a secondary tie to the stand because of this.
