High quality cuttings for propagation
The cuttings were paxkaged perfectly and arrived with root development on all cuttings. in Just over a week in water they are doing amazingly well and will be moved to soil as they all have at least 2 inch roots. the value is amazing, and i will absolutely be ordering quite a few more as soon as possible

Died
While trees were rooting in water they were doing great!! Once planted just as instructions said all plants died!!! Poor value for money.

Worth the wait
“I wanted to wait before reviewing to see how well this privacy fence would actually grow, and I’m glad I did. After a few months, the growth has been great—lush, green, and providing the coverage I wanted. It’s definitely a natural, attractive way to add privacy to the yard. Patience pays off with this one!

Half good, half bad. (Edited after 2 years)
I ordered these in early spring, and most of the sticks grew roots very quickly. I planted them along the property line, and half grew while half died. Out of them all, I currently have 1 super healthy looking plant, 3-4 decent looking, and the rest are struggling. The healthy ones really grow quickly, and I think I will try to order once more to see if I can get a better set of cuttings. Some cuttings were very thin. Those were the ones that just died. The thicker the cutting= a healthier plant it seems. I am in zone 5 where these should thrive. I’m hoping that next year some of the weakest plants make a recovery but either way I am going to order again. As far as customer service goes, it was not good at all in my experience. I tried to get replacements for the dead plants, but the company did not budge on this. You will need to water these frequently. They LOVE water! As with all plants bought online, it’s always a blind leap of faith. Here’s to hoping all our plants thrive next year lol. This would be a 5 star review if customer service was better and replaced what needed replaced. I will revise if that is corrected by seller. EDIT; The plants are all alive. After thinking some died, they came back the following spring. Each plant is now filling out, and growing, albeit slowly, but growing. They require watering during dry periods, but willows are water hogs anyway, so I expected that. They require watering cool thing about these is; once established, you can just take cuttings and grow more! My plan is to weave them into a “living fence” as they grow. There is still one struggling, but it’s in a heavy shade area. I wish they grew as advertised, but they definitely do not grow 10’ ft in a year. They grow about 1’ft a year. To be realistic, it takes time to grow a hedge. Unless you are willing to spend 1,000s$ to purchase fully grown shrubs, or trees. I do not regret my purchase, but cannot give it 5 stars due to the false claims of growth. I hope my review helps. I will post again in the future to show growth.

Product arrived in a dry/ dead state.
Got about 20 cuttings that were in a baggy that was probably meant to hold in moisture. The twigs were dry, possibly due to the heat wave that has pestered the midwest for the past month. I trimmed the dry Bottoms off the twigs, peeled bark to expose cambium layer dipped in rooting hormone and placed in rooting jar in the kitchen window. After 10 days 4 of the twigs had buds that opened into leaves and grew fine roots on the bottom none of the others grew roots or had any buds that were swelling to indicate life. I transferred the 4 that were showing signs of life into dirt but after two dsys in the sun they withered and died. Basically I got no live starts from this bundle. I think the twigs simply dried and died in the mail. I still want to create a privacy row between my area and the neighbors, just don't know if I will buy again or try another product from a different source. The packaging looked like it would possibly have been fine if the heat wave did not dry them up before Izcould get them in water. I have nothing bad to say about the vendor or product, it just didn't work for me.

No guarantee of 100% survival
Half of mine are growing like crazy. The other half are in my ICU. The ones in ICU were planted along side the other healthy ones. After 21 days of no growth, i pulled them up and they are now in a jar of water in hopes of becoming survivors. I am pleased with the growth of the survivors.

Excellent product shipped carefully and promptly - arrive ready to plant
I've ordered from EZ Grain before. The cuts of Austree Willow always arrive well packaged and just busting out to grow. The onus is on me at that point. As in past orders, each cut is already beginning to bud. In the past I've not had 100% success with each and every one I've gotten, but that is entirely on me. I've done both rooting in water and starting the cuts in constantly moist soil. From little sticks come decent size little trees that can be easily planted in the ground. My only issue is a herd of 10-16 deer that literally haunt our property. It's hard to escape their nibbling, but with adequate protection. My goal is a nice privacy screen and these little miracles seem the perfect solution. The quality of the CZ Grain shoots is excellent and gives me a terrific way to build my "wall"
