Q: How do these tie? The photo doesn't show a bow, but it doesn't look like tjey have a cinch or clasp...

You really don't need to tie them. Just clip them to length and the little knots stay in place at the top. I bought these for someone who has dementia so I left then long and tied them in a small knot at the top to keep my mom from trying to untie them. They look a little funky but they work so great for her to not have to tie her shoes that we overlook the weird knot tie look.

The amount I cut off after lacing my sneakers would lead me to believe they'd be too short for snow boots!

my son has them on his feet at the moment so i cannot measure but fit his mens 6.5 samba just fine, i think there was even a little extra i doubled over at the top of the shoe. love these laces, best non-tie we ever bought, and we have gone through a bunch of them with a son who goes through shoes fast! i def recommend
