The magic elixir for ultra running!
Hi! I’m an ultra runner from Maine. I’ve been running long distances for the better part of 11 years and I remember the first time I tried Tailwind nutrition, running my first 50 mile race I was starting to get cramps in my thighs, having not taken in any electrolytes just water a fellow racer offered me some of her tailwind which I was nervous about since I have a sensitive stomach but she said I needed it. It stopped my cramps and I felt great the rest of the race! Immediately ordered some and it’s now a key part of all my training and racing. I always have a bag, use so much for every race and have never had any major stomach issues, as a matter of fact I rarely have tummy troubles during a race unless I ate something weird. It works incredibly well! Keeps you hydrated and fueled and tastes great! Don’t forget it’s needed in those cold running months too! We’re still sweating under all those layers and can get dehydrated, also if you mix tailwind a little thicker it can help prevent your water from freezing on some of those long cold runs. I even have used it after having a sickness that had me running a fever so that I could stay hydrated! I mainly stick to the lemon and unflavored variety but am planning on trying the caffeinated flavors now that I am running over night races up too 100 miles. I also have yet to try the recovery drinks but they look absolutely delicious and I have a feeling they will taste better than the typical protein powders I add to my smoothies. I absolutely love tailwind and am so glad that women offered me some that day!

Effective and flavourful
I've tried numerous hydration mixes and this by far has worked the best. I live in Florida and for my long rides this has proven itself. No muscle cramps and keeps me going on those 4-6 hour rides in the heat. Good mild flavor and just sweet enough. Combined with Honey Stinger bars and waffles makes for the perfect fuel!

Easy to drink
I love how mild the taste is in this! I really appreciate it when I'm on long runs and eating a lot of gels and other sweet things. It's so easy to get a lot of calories and electrolytes in with this powder! You can add however much powder you need for carbs and electrolytes and the flavor is always good. I also feel like my gut tolerates it super well. I really feel like it ups my performance!

Hydration nation
If you’re looking for a product that helps with hydration look no further. Tailwind is my go to for any hydration needs that I may have. I’ve used this during a marathon and also a super long ruck march. Not only did I not cramp up my stomach didn’t get any issues because it wasn’t overly sweet and the flavoring is just right. I tend to use this product a lot since it has a great abundance of electrolytes especially chloride that most other hydration supplements don’t have. I will continue to use this product because it actually works. Also love the fact they changed to a cardboard paperish scoop that’s recyclable!

Since Cytomax Isn't On the Market Anymore...
For months now I've researched and sampled drink mixes to replace Cytomax for cycling 40 to 60 miles over hilly terrain 3 times a week. Priority is the right mix of carbs and electrolytes without too much sugar/calories. Then taste. And consistency. One doesn't want to carry around bulky bags of powder for refills. Tailwind comes closest. STILL I have to put way too much powder in a 24 oz bottle for taste. One scoop, no taste. 3 scoops too many calories. Also, the orange taste is OK, but the Berry has a weird soapy after taste. And it's not burp free. But so far I feel like it does sustain me for the long haul (though I haven't tested it in heat yet due to current weather conditions in So. Cal.) Lastly, I do like that the mix is colorless. And if you want to try all the flavors, you can order a sampler pack. (Which includes recovery drinks that I wanted to love but were a pain to mix and tasted nasty.)

Tasty Electrolytes for Whatever Sport You're Into
Tastes good, feels good going down, and I appreciate that it has REAL sugar and none of the fake junk. It had been recommended by another cyclist after APX stopped production (boohoo) and this is an acceptable replacement. I like that they come in single serving tubes to pack along on rides or hikes, but this jumbo bag is more cost-efficient for loading up water bottles to start the day. Good stuff!

Light taste
I like it a lot! Mild taste, very light, so it’s very easy drink for long rides and gives the boost I need. Highly recommend !

Incredible for ANY endurance activities!
I was looking for a good electrolyte drink to use during my training rides in preparation for my 100-mile century bike ride. I had been using other products, but I was intrigued when Tailwind advertised that it could help simplify my nutritional needs. So I gave it a shot. On all my training rides lasting between 4-6 hours, Tailwind was incredible in that it gave me the right amount of energy, but didn't make me feel bloated or weird. Especially because you have to drink it for so long, I was worried I would get queasy. But this stuff was great, AND I had some that I gave to my friend at the end of our metric century ride, and SHE said it helped her finish. I still have to supplement my nutrition with a chunk of banana at rest stops or a little gel here and there, but I highly recommend to anyone that they try Tailwind as their drink for endurance training. It works!!

Great fueling source
I ride XC and gravel bikes 3-4 times per week. Rides typically ranging 2-3 hours in duration. Adding 2 to 3 scoops per bottle gives me the energy/carbs I need to complete my workouts without any gut distress. I have really been enjoying using this product as it mixes up well and has a very light taste. I highly recommend giving this product to try, you won’t be disappointed.

Has almost zero taste at recommended serving size for shorter efforts but works nonetheless.
I used Tailwind for the first time on an 80km ride yesterday. I took two 24oz bottles with one scoop each was done both bottles by the end of the ride. I have been using gels and water mostly but find them not as convenient and there's trash to deal with also. Tailwind is my first real performance drink mix other than Gatorade. I have to say it seems to work well. My 80km ride was about 3 hours long and 500m of elevation gain and about 26.5km/h average speed. Normally I would be pretty spent after. This time though, while I felt like I had a good ride and was tired afterwards, I seemed to recover way better and was not laid out on the couch for the rest of the day. I also did not seem as hungry which surprised me! Not sure if it's Tailwind and I know this is N=1 but it seems like a good product. The taste is pretty lame, but that is hardly an issue for me. I would rather it have almost no taste then taste bad. My only concern is the sodium levels. It's over 300mg for one service and they recommend 1-2 servings for shorter efforts and 2-3 servings for longer efforts. That is quite a bit of sodium and I don't feel like I am lacking sodium in my diet either. Not sure how I feel about nearly 1000mm of sodium if I decide to follow the instructions for longer efforts!

Not as sweet as some other brands of energy drinks
Product takes a little getting used too but better than other brands. Not as sweet. Would like to try other flavours. No stomach issues.

Works really well and tastes good too.
I am currently marathon training and I have used to tailwind on three long runs now after trying some at the Running show convention. I have used it on a half marathon race (PB), 16 miles and 18 mile runs and on each run this product has left me hydrated throughout. The taste is good, it is not too sweet and is not too sickly, it perfect to sip while on a long run.
