Original remote was acting up, not changing channels, but most other buttons worked fine. Based on the failure mode, I figured it was the remote, and not a problem with the TV, I found this remote on Amazon, and ordered it. When I received it, I installed fresh batteries, and tried it on the Vizio TV. It works great, and is well worth the money. If you need one, order it now.

Unlike the old CRT tv's where you could just turn or pull a knob, or press a button to turn it on/off, some of the flat screens out there have no such option, you have to have a remote to operate it. So, that makes this necessary. I wish it were weighted better because I've only had the tv this goes with (VIZIO E261VA 26-Inch 60Hz LED LCD Class Edge Lit Razor HDTV (Black)) since May of this year, and I've already had to replace it once. It's my own fault for dropping it a million times on a hard wood floor, but because it's so thin and light on top and heavy on the bottom (where the batteries are) it's so easy to do. So, be gentle with it and do what I did, buy a backup, or two.As for functionality? It does what it's supposed to, it's easy to wipe clean, and the buttons are easy to use and understand. All good.

Works so well don’t even want to take the plastic off. This remote was ordered to replace the original which just well, stopped working. It does a fantastic job, all buttons and functions work as good as or better than the original.I initially thought I’d have to buy a whole new tv but decided on a whim to check out Amazon and here it was. Saving me a ton not having to buy a new tv.
