Cardamom Pods

I absolutely love the taste of this. It’s a very unique flavour and goes well in tea. I haven’t used it for anything else yet but I’m sure I will. The pods themselves seem very fresh and very well packaged. I can’t speak for any health benefits yet because I haven’t used them long enough to notice any. The flavour alone make them worth using and any health benefits is a bonus.

I used the cardamon pods in a curry and they were lovely. Made the curry very tasty.

I used it with rice was very delicious.

We eat a lot of cardamom in our house, being Indian, it's in our cooking, our snacks, and just as mouth freshener. We were disappointed to find so many pods weren't fresh (only around 1 in 40). Fresh cardamom has black seeds, anything else (browns/greys/off white) and they're old pods, they don't hold the same flavour and have a horribly woody texture. Fresh pods have black seeds that are shiny, crunchy, with a stickiness to them. I was really disappointed with having to go through half the packet in order to collect only 5 pods that could pass the lowest standard. Won't be buying again
