It's a Decent Lock
Bought this in 2018 and it is now 2022 and it still works fine.Grinders can and do remove this type of lock. It is what it is.The bike this lock is used on isn't locked up and left in a high bike theft location on any regular basis--but for a bike to be taken, it's a matter of the wrong place at the wrong time, not always a known bike theft area. If we had to leave the bike out for a few minutes or something like 30 min in a hot spot, we would remove a tire and the seat when leaving it locked up or use a ratty beat-up, yet, functioning bike and hope for the best, but this lock works extremely well if no grinders are a factor.Another tactic they can sometimes use is maybe not cutting the lock off at that time, but will flatten the tires in hopes of you coming back later to deal with it, only to find it's gone.If you run a long cable, a fairly decent width steel cable, like the kind some people use to hold a large animal with, and you run that cable, weaving it all through the bike, in and out of different spokes in the front and back tires, and through various areas of the bike, well, that has been a tactic for a grocery run when I was visiting a friend out of state. That's what he did to his bike when he left it outside. The cable and lock were secured to the basket when not in use, while riding. It's a pain and takes about 15 minutes to set up. It looks like a mess, but then you put this lock on that cable, which has a loop at each end, AND through a part of the bike. Aside from grinding off the lock, they would have to take the time to remove the woven mess. It's not a quick in and out job.Anyone remember that lock that, if cut with a grinder or anything, it released a huge nasty stink spray that stayed on a person for days? I never heard more about it after seeing the ads for it a couple times, a few years ago.Having your bike stolen is awful. Many of us know that misery. To those out there who have had their bike stolen, many of us feel your pain. We really do.

Good Lock
UPDATE: I was sent a replacement lock and Daisy from Amazer was so kind and helpful during this process. Th lock came in fast, is longer, and has an area where you can securely attach it to your bike while you are riding it. I have not tried that yet, but maybe soon.I still don't love this lock as much as my Kryptonite lock, but Kryptonite is much much more expensive. The long look is nice but it still doesn't fit quite right around my tire and my base. There is still a combination lock, which may still be the same issue in regards to it breaking the first time, but I know it is sturdy and it is much easier not having to carry around a key. That is something I really like about this lock.Overall a good and standard lock. I know they are working to improve their stuff and I appreciate all of the help I have gotten.Past Review: I bought a much more expensive lock, because this shredded to pieces when I couldn't take it off at school one day. I really liked the combo lock aspect and not having to use a key, but one hit and this thing comes off like a piece of cake.Kept my bike safe for a year in a moderate-high crime college campus, but no one wants to steal a cruiser lol. However, with my new bike this year it was ok, except that I dropped it on concrete and it broke. Seeing that it broke so quickly I realized it would definitely be able to be broken into easily, and I'm really glad it didn't.I paid 30 bucks for this lock on Amazon and now its $10. That's lame. Only complaint while it was working was that it was short, so i couldn't lock up my tire to my base and the rack. If I could return this item by now I would, but It worked while it did.

Bike just stolen
This is a weird review, because I have used this lock for 2 1/2 years and have liked it. It has been easy to use with its 4-digit combination code and opens and closes easily. It certainly is a deterrent to casual thieves. However, yesterday the lock was cut and my bike was stolen. A mechanic who saw my lock said it was probably cut by a grinder (and I'm guessing one with a diamond blade). To my surprise I've learned that no lock is theft-proof if a thief has the right tools and opportunity. I have a second one and will continue to use it on my other bike until I learn more or find a stronger one or some other solution. Until then, I will park in more public places and keep a closer eye on my bike.

OK for the price and purpose
I've had this lock for 3 years. Within the first year, the dust cover lost its ability to stay shut -- so the numbers are exposed to dirt, humidity, and all else all the time. My bad that I didn't report it to the company.I use this U lock in the back and a coil lock in the front. My bike is a $100 comfort bike, so I'm not protecting anything precious. It spends most of its time locked to a tree just to the side of my house and isn't easily seen, but has been parked downtown regularly for a few weeks and at the grocery store. (It gets covered along with my bike during rain and snow.)I'm not a heavy user. I've never found it particularly easy to use, but I have small hands and weak grip strength. I gave it four stars overall because I've had it for three years, after all, and it still works. I got it on sale, so, at this point, it owes me nothing.

Don't Leave Outside!
I know most people don't leave their bikes outside, but if you plan on it, don't get this lock! The mechanism rusted after just a few days of rain and I was lucky to get it off my bike before it stopped turning. After some deliberation, I got it to turn, but then the code was somehow changed from the inside?? I don't know how it happened.tl:dr, left out in rain for only a few days before the lock mechanism rusted and jammed.

Looking for a 4.5+ft chain that would work with this lock?
Has anybody found a 4.5+ft chain that would work with this lock?I ordered the OKG Heavy Duty Security Chain but the the chain links are too small for this lock's shankle.

Excellent Lock
This bike lock is exactly what I look for, good high quality material, U type lock, heavy duty and combination lock. Sad they don't sell this anymore as I would like to get more.

Poor design
I bought last year but today just open the pack, I followed the instructions completely but after I set up my own PIN number, it’s locked, I can not even open it anymore. This is the worst product for bike locker

I love this thing
It's been working well for years, not easy to find a U-lock with a code! I don't carry keys with me, I'm all about the codes, this works.
