Love the product, however, was leaking in the shipping bag. Lid on but must have been not quite tight enough. Just cleaned it up and seems ok to use. A new jar should be sent to me.

I found a recipe that I wanted to try and it called for Harrissa so I purchased it thinking that it was hard to find in the store but I was wrong....trader Joe's sells it in their stores and for $4.70 less than Amazon.But it's convenient for those who are too busy to go and pick it up yourself.It has a nice kick of heat and great flavor.

This is not Tunisian harissa. It isn’t bad crushed peppers, but far from what I was looking for.

I gave it 3 starts for the nice taste and fast shipping and solid packaging it came in. No mold, or spills. This product came as described in terms of size and quantity. I was looking for spicy Harissa like the typical Moroccan or Tunisian harissa that is super spicy and this is not it. I tolerate spicy very well. On a scale of 1 to 10, my tolerance level is probably a 8 - 9. This is probably a 4 out of 10. The intensity level is probably the same as regular buffalo wing sauce served at most eating places. Or mild Tabasco sauce. There's no real heat at all and should not be considered hot. Maybe hot for folks who can't tolerate spicy food at all. It has a nice flavor though so I will be grinding 2 or 3 steamed habanero peppers or Carolina Reaper peppers to mix with this in the hopes that I will get the heat I was looking for. For my tolerance level, this wasn't it so I will not be re-ordering. For the record, I'm from African decent so I'm used to the North African spiciness of dishes :-)
