A great soundbar
Having bought a smart TV and ditching paying for my viewing I soon found the sound I got from my new TV was nowhere near that of my 14year old SONY Bravia I was replacing.Admittedly the new tv is decent, but I couldn't afford a new SONY.The write up and spec for this soundbar looked great so took the plunge. For under £60 this is excellent. Soft deep bass and crisp clear high notes. It sounds great when turned up and really works well with my new tv. Nice and small and fits in the spece between the screen and stand.Connects easily to Bluetooth devices and works great.Dead easy to connect to the tv with an optical lead and has three sound 'modes'.Well packed and easy to follow instructions. An optical lead was included and wall brackets and screws too.Great value and an excellent product.

Compact, Excellent sound at a budget price.
Bought for kitchen use to improve tv sound (coax digital connection) and play music from Smartspeaker display (via bluetooth) At a budget price, the Sound is excellent with a good range of treble and bass adjustments. At mid adjustments, we find it well balanced with clear treble with adequate base and good stereo separation.Having tested a few soundbars in this price range (up to £50), I consider it unbeatable.I have also bought 5 British designed various Azatom bluetooth speakers over 10 years and found them to be generally very good for the price. This is easily the most powerful and best so far and I think it could compete with speakers costing twice the price.Black gloss, it matches most TVs,It was very simple to setup but the wall mount uses 4 screws. I mounted this on a kitchen tiled wall using supplied template. (The hardest part was checking hidden wall wiring routes) you need to be competent to mount this!Connections were easy using coax and Bluetooth to Google display. (I have no current use for optical)Bluetooth is a bit awkward as you would need to ensure one pairing is disconnected before starting another but this won't be an issue here as we can play from our phones by casting to Google display then bluetooth to the Azatom. It's well put together and supplied with 3.5 cable for AUX and optical but no coax.

Several small annoyances that collectively make this a reject - for me
This is a well built, good looking, UK designed soundbar. I planned to wall mount it under the TV and am happy to run the required cable inside the wall.Attempt 1:I connected it up using bluetooth. It worked OK but I had to use the Azatom remote to power it on and off. Also, when it turns off it makes a very loud sound. As it's in a bedroom and my wife is asleep already, or I've dozed off with the TV sleep timer running this is a "bad thing".Attempt 2:I hooked up the optical cable that was supplied with it. I had to make a change to the sound settings on the Samsung TV but then it worked fine and the sound is great. However, I still had to use the Azatom remote to turn it on and off, and also to change the volume.I'm really sorry. I wanted to like and keep this soundbar but the absence of an HDMI ARC connection means multiple remotes which is - to me - unacceptable.Footnote: I subsequently found another review that explained this but the HDMI part of that review was 'hidden' under the {more}.But...... I did like the product, the design, and the company so I bought the next model up, the Azatom Studio Premier 32”. It arrived promptly, and is terrific. I could not be more pleased.

Much better sound than I expected!
I needed to install a TV in our bedroom due to my wife needing a prolonged recovery. I bought a great 32inch Samsung TV and fully expected the sound to be poor – which it was. I’ve no previous experience of sound bars, so I opted to give this one a try, with a real expectation that it would be better than the TV sound, but not great.I couldn’t have been more surprised and impressed! The sound is clear and the big shock was the quality and detail of the bass, which I didn’t think would even be possible from such a small and compact speaker system. At normal “bedroom” sound levels I turned up the bass and treble a bit from the remote (like switching on “loudness” on older hi-fi systems) and everything sounds lovely. Signals which have a “wide” sound do seem to come from outside the speaker, so the stereo impression is also good. The speaker is reassuringly heavy, in spite of its small size, and gives the impression of being well built. The only connection I tried and used is the optical digital one, and an optical cable is included.I leave it turned on so my wife just turns the TV on and off (keeping stuff simple for her). Fortunately, the speaker doesn’t go into a standby mode on its own if it has no input, so it’s always ready and willing to go. The remote is straightforward and you can put it into standby from there if you wish.Initially it didn’t produce any sound from terrestrial HDTV, but the manual says to switch the TV sound menu over to PCM and that fixed it. I have a Blu-Ray player going into the TV’s HDMI input and the sound from that is great too.

Well worth the money
This is a review of Azatom Pulse studio 2. I recently sold my suround sound equipment. But instantly regreted it. The DVDs sound didn't seem to have the depth as the speakers in the TV are quite small. I connected the Azatom via an optical cable and Bluetooth. Both gave a nice rich sound,. It was easy to set up in either mode, the 3 position equaliser certainly altered the output giving good base and high end sound. Great for listening to the radio via your phone and Bluetooth. Comes with a remote, wall fixings and optical cable. If you are looking for a reasonably priced sound bar, you won't go far wrong with this item.
