Good Bluetooth Adapter for Bose QC-25 that could have been great
Overall, I am happy with the AirMod Wireless Bluetooth Adapter for Bose QuietComfort 25 Headphones. The basic function - providing a Bluetooth connection to my device so I can listen to output without a cord - works well.Pros:The positive experience started with the packaging. It is professional and well executed. The device fits perfectly on the ear cup. Very secure and the curve of the device perfectly matches the curve of the ear cup.The device is slim enough that even attached, the head phones still fit in the case.Buttons are easy to identify by touch.Pairing with an iPhone X was quick and easy.Volume of the music was much better than I had anticipated. I was able to easily hear music while mowing the lawn or pressure washing without even having to turn it up to maximum. The sound is much clearer and somewhat louder when the noise cancellation on the QC-25 is on, but this occurs when connected via a cord as well.Cons:The primary reason for the deduction of one star is the charging methodology. Having to unplug the device to attach the proprietary cable, while not a deal killer, is annoying and seems unnecessary. It also means I have to keep up with this extra cable which again is annoying and seems unnecessary. Why they didn't just put a standard micro USB port on the outside baffles me.It would be nice if there was an app to allow me to see how much charge is left on the battery. Without that, I tend to charge it after every use, which considering I only tend to use it for a few hours at a time is probably not needed.Other:I only use it with my phone so it only be able to be connected to one device at a time isn't an issue for me. I could see where if I were connecting it to a TV or home audio system, not having it also connected to the phone simultaneously could warrant another star reduction.* Update *After a year and a half, I still love this adapter. Sound quality, volume, durability have been great. I did have a little issue - when I would plug in the adapter to charge it, the red LED would not illuminate. After a while of being left plugged in, the green LED would illuminate and the adapter would in fact be fully charged. I contacted Bolle&Raven customer service and they provided a replacement, no questions asked. Because of the exceptional customer service, I updated the rating from four stars to five.

Very impressive and exceeded expectations on performance
Story - I accidently bought the Bose QuietComfort 25 (wired headphones) and loved them but wanted the freedom of wireless so I bought the Bose QuietComfort 35 (wireless) and gave the QC25 to my daughter. I came across this product and picked it up without any major expectations. Mainly to give my daughter the wireless freedom that I wanted in the QC35.To my surprise (as well as my daughters) the AirMod Wireless Bluetooth Adapter came in a professional package, easy to read instructions and from what we can tell, one hell of a battery charge as it was literally used 2+ days before we even considered utilizing the charger adapter that it comes with (and we just simply used it not because it needed a charge we simply wanted to give it a charge - if it makes any sense).Surprisingly the weight is non-detectable (I mean it is feather light) and It molds perfectly to the Bose QC25 - absolutely no gaps that I can tell from looking at it and it is secured in there without moving around. The receiver and sound quality is Bose top notch. Comparing both the QC25 with the AirMod Wireless Bluetooth Adapter and my QC35 headphone, I must say I was impressed with the received sound quality from my daughters Apple phone via bluetooth _ I would hope that Bose would be equally impressed (not speaking on their behalf). Our one concern was the ability to noise cancel and that was quickly put to rest when we turned on the noise cancelling feature on the QC25... Simply amazing and nothing lost and allot gained by the AirMod Wireless Bluetooth Adapter. If you are looking for an add-on to your QC25 to give you the freedom of wireless and still have the ability to switch between wired and wireless than this product is a 100% best choice. You will not be disappointed!

Great alternative to buying $350 QC35s
I was looking at several options for wireless headsets. My ultimate requirements were, great sound, good battery life, bluetooth and noise canceling. I could solve my problems by dropping $350 on the Bose QC35s and call it a day. Alas, I didn't want to do that, since my QC25s are perfect and the best headphones I've ever owned. I came across this adapter after a few searches, and looking at another product, the Btunes adapter for $99. Reviews on the Btunes were ok, but only 18 at the time of my search. What turned me away was the size and shape of it. It was huge, bulky and stuck out like a sore thumb. Then I found the AirMods, the shape was genius, they blended right in with the headset. At $59, they were a steal compared to buying new cans or the Btunes adapter. When they arrived, I tried them straight away. They charge via an included usb to 2.5mm adapter which connects to the jack which goes into the headphone. The red/green LED indicator is a bit hard to see if you're not looking at it straight on, but they are there and functional. It took about 2 hours to fully charge from whatever level it was in the box. The instruction card was very well written, clear and concise. I plugged them into the headphones, and they fit PERFECTLY. Fired them up, pairing was super simple, just as the instructions said and they connected in no time. They show up as a headset on my iPhone 7 and function exactly as if they were hard wired. I can select them as a source when listening to music in several apps, and it plays flawlessly. The sound is great, I mean come on, it's Bose. I could not tell any difference in sound quality between this and the standard wire. I haven't tested the range of the bluetooth yet, but so far, 15-20 feet walking around the house has been just fine. I've also paired them to my desktop windows 10 computer and used them while flying in X-Plane, and they worked great here as well. It was an even more immersive experience using these headphones vice my standard desktop speakers.Shortly after I received them, I went on a short business trip. Starting out with a full charge, I listened to an audio book while waiting at the airport, and on 2 flights, including the 45 min worth of layover time, so lets call it about 4 hours mostly non-stop. Paused and played, adjusted volume and even turned completely off a few times, all from the headphones. Controls are stellar, though can be hard to tell volume down and play/pause and play/pause from power, just by feel, but I imagine I'll do better as I use them more. Some braille like nubs on the different buttons would have been helpful, but lets be honest, I'm not returning these suckers because they don't have bumps on the buttons. All of the control buttons are rather close together, so it just takes some getting used to, but functionally, they all work as advertised. The power on/off can sometimes take a few seconds, and I find myself double checking that LED indicator just to be sure I'm not putting them away w/ the battery still on. They also fit perfectly into the OEM Bose hardshell case for the QC25s. NO need to remove the AirMod adapter to put away in the case. I stick the charging adapter in the back pocket along w/ the OEM cable and a spare pair of Apple EarPods and I'm all set.Battery life - Again, I charged them to full charge prior to leaving for the airport on monday afternoon. Listened for about 4 hours on monday, some on tuesday then Wednesday morning for the trip home. I'd say I got about another 3 hours out of them before they died, about 30 min before my flight landed (of course). Brought them to the sky club and plugged them in using the ole white iPhone usb brick and let them charge up for about an hour or so while I ate lunch and did some work. Plenty of juice for the ride home and then some. I also experimented by charging them with my Anker portable 10000mA power bank, and that worked just fine as well.Minimal interference issues experience. Only one of note so far has been while I was walking through the concourse in ATL, phone in my pocket streaming an audiobook and noise canceling on, I had a bit of interference but when I pulled it out of my pocket, it went away in 10 seconds or so. With the amount of wireless devices in close proximity, I'm blaming it on being bombarded with wireless signals in that area. Back in the pocket and continued my track with no issues.Overall, I'm very pleased so far. They work exactly as a bluetooth headset should, quick connect, easy controls, solid sound and decent battery life. Maybe one day I'll break down and buy the QC35's but today is not that day. This little gadget truly looks like it was meant to be on these headphones from day one. Sleek, stylish, functional and saved me $. I might just send it a Christmas Card this year, it's the least I can do, right?
