Not Comfortable On My Fingertip
The #3 that I got is wide at the open end and narrows at the fingertip, so it's kinda V-shaped. Maybe it's like that for a reason, but it's uncomfortable for my fingertip. Also, mine did NOT come with the velcro strap as others have claimed. I am taping it on and I'll give it a little more time for the test period, but I'm thinking about going back to just taping that DIP joint.

seems like the tip could be fine but the body of ...
Fast delivery, starts for seller, I can't comment on the Stax as does not fit, seems like the tip could be fine but the body of the splint is too loose around my finger where I need support the most, I will need to buy different size, (have a #2 from a different seller and is too small) but will look for a local store so I can try them first. Thank you!

Great for Mallet finger
Velcro strap is easy to miss in the package! I actually preferred to use sports tape with this and it worked great! Highly recommend for Mallet finger! Order more than one size is my biggest recommendation..... you can save these in your first aid kit forever😊

if you need something like this, then one thing I will say about ...
It doesn't really stay on without a lot of medical tape, which means that you could just use bandaids. However, if you need something like this, then one thing I will say about it is you can type with it, which is why I bought it.

Great!
This thing is fantastic. I'm not sure why people give it a negative review just because they ordered the wrong size. That's on you, people. One person who reviewed low even admitted to reading the sizing chart wrong! But I digress. I jammed my finger to the point of baseball (mallet) finger. I immediately put on one of those aluminum and blue foam finger splints and ordered this one. I got it today and employed it at once. It's infinitely more comfortable than the other. And I can bend my middle knuckle now! Also there would be no way to keep that foam dry and not gross for weeks on end. Am I looking forward to wearing it for 6 to 8 weeks? No. But MUCH less intrusive than any other choice. My only suggestion to the manufacturer would be to add a small soft rubber pad at the fingertip. I think that would give a better feel on a keyboard.

I also did not fell like this splint was really keeping my finger totally straight
These are made for someone with carrot-shaped fingers. Hence, they tend to work themselves off your finger in a very short time. I also did not fell like this splint was really keeping my finger totally straight. I went back to a regular splint.

works well
Worked well once I found the right size, took 3 tries to get it right so measure carefully. A real positive is you can shower with it on then just dry it off and change the tape and your good to go.

Great splint -- I amusing it at night after wearing a splint for 7 weeks
After taking off my Mallet finger splint, my doc suggested I wear a splint at night for the next month. After 7 weeks of taping and retaping the splint, I wanted a predone splint for nighttime wear.Splint works great at night. I would hesitate to use this during the day during the initial 6-7 weeks that you have to use a full time splint. The plastic really doesn't breathe that well. The odor would be devastating if this was your primary splint.Works wonderful at night. I slide it in & run a piece of tape at the knuckle and I am done.Remember to measure your finger before you order. My index finger was a little swollen and I had to get the bigger size
