How do you adjust the band? What kind of pins are they?

It was easy for me. I just got one as an early Father’s Day gift. Had to remove 1 link. Easy enough. Look one YouTube. No special tools needed.

Unsure! They are also solar powered. You can try to charge it up by sticking it in/under the light. It should help never had this problem
