A good investment for a nice light.
The Alonefire SV47 UV light was everything I was hoping it would be.It has great brightness, wonderful balance, convenient size, safety hand strap, included battery, and precise manufacturing tolerances. It also can operate from an external power source, such as a power bank or any charge source without the battery. The battery compartment section can be removed and a tail cap is included to make it ultra compact when using an external power source. This allows for infinite run time with external batteries. Case heat sink design provides good heat dissipation. Also, it has an internal thread for mounting to any tripod for curing or viewing without holding the light. A very convenient feature for some. It can charge using any USB-C cable without removing the battery each time. Switch is well lit without being too bright and shows charge condition by changing color from red to green when full. Holding the switch for a few seconds will decrease brightness. Coated filter provides clean UV light beam. Charging cord and UV safety glasses included. A simple belt clip would have been nice, but this will fit most pockets. A draw strap cloth bag for storage would also be nice, but the box will do.

Very rugged and bright, but no instructions
Awesome flashlight. Does what it's advertised to do. Great build quality. But it didn't include instructions. For instance, there's a separate endcap in the box which I had no idea what it's for. I eventually figured out where it fits on the flashlight's body, but had no idea why anyone would want or need it for that. The kit comes with a pair of filter glasses (like sunglasses), but since I got the flashlight only to hunt for pet urine, I didn't see any reason for the glasses. At least an instruction sheet would've informed me of their purpose.

works good
update: Charged the battery and it shines brighter, will have to see how long it will last before recharging is needed.seems to deem but works fast

Alonefire's BEST UV lamp to date
At the point of this posting, I have used the following Alonefire products for Rockhounding: SV003 SV004 SV47 SV53This light is BRIGHT.The SV47 is perfect for field/show use as the 21700 battery is wholly unnecessary; you can take the battery off(replacing the battery chamber with a snub nose cap)and attach your own external battery pack via USB-C giving the lamp more than sufficient life to rockhound the night away or last the entire weekend long event!Perfect for minerals, rocks, reptiles, insects, anything you might need a high power 365nm hand lamp for!

So far so good
This is my first UV flashlight and I've had it for two months. So I'm not an expert by any means. So far it is working well, the battery lasts a good while. I haven't kept it on continuously to time it, but I've charged only once 2 months ago. I've used a few times for random testing and the light is still strong. This might not be a good way to test battery life, but I've had other chargeable items where the battery dies even without use. As of now, I'm happy with this purchase. I'll update this update if anything changes.

Short Beam Distance
Well-built UV light but for close inspections only. If you are going to a beach to search for yooperlites , you will need to be VERY close to detect them.I found the light useless...although well-built.
