Leak proof!
It's hard to find a glass container this size that is leak proof. I turned it upside down to check and it is. With all plastic lids I wouldn't recommend putting them in the dishwasher. I like the rectangular shape - takes up less space.While one person mentioned thin glass that is not my experience at all. It's nice and thick.

locking lids
These are a nice size for my needs. What I really like about them is the locking lids. The locks are part of the lid. Less likely to break. I have had other brands with locks that were not part of the lid but had locks that are added on. Those locks I had problems with. Some broke and some just don't work anymore. I am so happy that this one is made with the locks as part of the lid. I don't see any problems like with the other lids. I am going to start replacing my containers to this brand.
