Small as I wanted and it works just fine for a great price.
Handy little backup if your main 940nm fails while hunting vermin.

Shockingly bad.
Effective range is about 30 feet. Terrible. What's the point of a 3W LED if it has the rang of a TV remote?

Sufficient Spill Helmet Beater
Very well worth the money for what it is compared to the alternatives.This light spill is fine for what I was looking for. It kicks in enough light in complete darkness. Done.I am not concerned about the throw option. The throw is mostly goofy and useless . If you pull it all the way you have a square light with a line in the center. Back it off a little and it’s less square.It shines in spill mode for a cheap admin helmet type light.The red cherry when it’s on is not as noticeable as others.Put this in play until you can get the proper set up. It’s sufficient enough and can be used as a back up pocket IRDown side:The head will not fit a Surefire Scout body. Even if it was the right thread diameter it’s weird expando neck.It’s a 1” style light. but was able to dremel out and fit a plastic ring with the 180 degree pic rail insert keeping weight down and get it to mount. It will stick out further on the side. It not optimal but helps with some IR when needed.

Petite and Working Great
This IR flashlight is smaller than most. It works great for shorter distance. It can light up a large room the long-throw flashlights can’t. If this is your application, this petite IR flashlight is perfect. It would be great if it is rechargeable.
