The battery shown on the Amazon product picture plugs into and out-of the speaker and into and out-of standard electrical sockets. All features work as described, including broadcasting of mp3 files from an inexpensive flash drive (e.g., dog barking). The manufacturer should redo their video to include the answer to your question.
