My dog lays belly on floor legs extended, trying to get up he pushes against floor trying to get his legs under him, how long will this stay on

It won't... I had issues with my dog needing traction and I tried many things. This was, hands-down, the absolute worst thing. It is really hard to apply. It doesn't stay on. And it offered literally no traction whatsoever. And for the price... The price is ridiculous for what you get. A cardboard tray... Some superglue... and some pulverized rubber.

Does this product increase the amount of food your dog eats? Also, is super glue and playground sand a suitable stand-by while waiting for the product

This did not increase the amount of food my dog eats - it is designed to stop the dog from slipping on slippery floors. I bought the product and found it wore off in a day or two - and the kit contains enough product for maybe 6-8 applications - so to me it certainly wasn't worth the $35 I spent. I would recommend just putting throw rugs down where the dog is. Another thing would be to TRIM the dogs hair around the pads - that was an issue with my Labrador and it helped DRAMATICALLY. And to answer your other question - I would not put super glue on my dogs paws - the glue that comes in this package is medical glue designed for this. Super glue may be toxic and damaging and painful to the dogs pads.

How long does it last?

Depends. It lasted - still on his feet for about a month but it wasn’t effective that long. I’d say it helped him for about 2 weeks then he started to slide again. If it rained, it would last about a week or less. Hope that helps.
