Is this reef friendly?

We do not use the terminology “coral reef safe” or “reef safe” with regard to our brands as of 2021. However, many of our Coppertone products do not contain oxybenzone or octinoxate and are complaint with the Hawaii Reef Bill that bans the use of these ingredients. Our scientists have been actively working to develop new formulations of Coppertone that don’t include these ingredients. This is easier to achieve for sunscreens with SPF 50 and below. We offer many products that are currently compliant with the Hawaii Reef Bill including the Coppertone Sport Lotion SPF 50.

To what date is this sunscreen good until?

Coppertone sunscreens have a listed expiration date on the packaging. The dates can be found on the base/bottom of the can or stick, or on the shoulder/neck of the can (just below the cap). It can also be found on the back of the bottle or the cap. We suggest tilting the bottle or tube or can under a light as some package codes are white print on yellow and/or embossed into the packaging.

Is this cruelty free/ no animal testing?

No idea. I've been using it for years and with my sunburn prone skin it offers all the protection I need.
