Gameboy Advance SP Battery, Upgraded 1600mAh High Capacity Rechargeable Lithium-ion Battery for Nintendo GBA SP Gameboy Advance SP AGS-001, SAM-003

I don’t leave reviews often, but I’m very excited with this battery!I just recently did an SP Re-Shell and noticed my GBA SP battery was swollen. I watched a few YouTube videos and saw this one got pretty good marks so I picked it up.My swollen battery would stay green for 2 hours and then red for 45 minutes. While running the same test on this new battery, (playing Sonic Advanced sound Check with backlight on), I got 6 hours of green and 2 hours of red on my AGS-001.I’m now trying the “sleep” mode from another game and it’s been 18 hours and the light is still green. I’ll give an update once I finally get the full sleep mode duration.I should note that it did take multiple hours for it to charges; but with getting 3x the gameplay time from before, I’m happy to wait for it to charge longer.UPDATE:The sleep mode test was wild. I started at 8pm and the green light held till 3pm the next day. The red light held out until after midnight. That makes sleep mode 19 hours green and then the battery holding red until the 28th hour.

This is a great replacement for the OEM battery. Saw some other reviews saying you want to drain the battery before giving it a full charge. Did as recommended then fully charged it. Battery lasted 13 and 1/2 hours before dying with screen fully backlit. Original batteries last about 9. Definitely will buy more if needed!

Replaced the batteries in 2 of our GBASPs with these. Doubled our battery life, which the console didn't seem sure how to handle. Easy replacement for the old battery, just a screwdriver for one screw and it popped right out. Absolutely worth the $10 to save my childhood game consoles.

Takes a while for it to charge. Longer than the original battery, but it also gets longer play time. This was suggested to me by someone I know who used it to replace theirs and my expectations were definitely beaten. This battery is worth the cash.

Laat a long time, but its hard to tell battery life. Red light starts flashing pretty early.

I'm happy with the battery life and it fits perfectly in the original phat DS. You could expect at least a few hours or so.

Figured I’d see if this is magic or not and alas it is not. Product says it’s 1600mAh but it’s actually 800. Not sure how this has been allowed to stay up for so long when it’s completely false advertising. It isn’t possible to make a 1600mAh battery that fits inside the battery compartment of a gameboy advance sp. Amazon is lacking some basic quality control in pretty much every department it seems
