I'm not sure. They sure work good and hold up very well. If they're not approved I don't know why they wouldn't be.

Does this timer have an on/off or does it automatically shut off

It does have an on/off button. To turn it on you just push the button, but, to turn it off, you have to hold the button until it cuts off. All of our 8 timers are preset. We push the blue timer button of the time that we want, then once the time is up and it begins beeping, we just push it to turn off. It will automatically reset to the the pre-set time.

Can you pause one or both timers and then restart where you left off?

The timer touch buttons not have a pause on them. You can push and hold the timer button and it will reset to the defaulted time you have set for that button.
