GP-5 Original Soviet Civilian Protective Gas Mask (activated Charcoal filter and bag included) (Small, white)

Very nice mask, I love the design of it, the size fit me well (a little tight at first, but you'll wear into it), you just need to find the dimensions of your head to see which size you need. The glass lenses were a little bit dusty but that's fine, that's to be expected from something from 1984. My only problem with this is that the seller didn't mention that the gp-5 filters may contain asbestos. Apparently if the gas mask is from after 1972 it'll be fine (the one I got is 1984). But a lab tested these gp-5 filters and concluded that all models of the gp-5 filter could contain asbestos. Up to 7.25% of the cotton filter in fact. The filter is also probably well past it's shelf life, so I don't recommend using it. Just buy some 40mm NATO approved safe filters. Other than that, great buy.

Neat gas mask from russia during the cold war era I believe. This will protect you from toxic smoke and fumes, all the way up to radioactive particles. Fits really REALLY snug, and its easy to breath in. I ordered the second to highest size, and it's super snug, so if you got a big head, definatly go with the biggest size. This mask is the real deal, not some crappy knockoff. Definatly old russian military surplus. A cool item for a decent price.

I absolutely love this mask. The quality of the rubber was great, and there was very little sign of any cosmetic damage on it at all (this has been in surplus for years, it's expected to be damaged a bit.) My intake outtake valves were working spectacularly, and the mask fits perfectly, airtight like it should be. You will need to clean off the mask before use, as it is covered in Talcum Powder to prevent rubber decay. Look up the video by the Gas Mask Guys if you need any help with that, it's relatively easy to do. After that, granted you got the right size, it will fit perfect and will pose no threat to you. Here's an IMPORTANT WARNING!!! Do not use the filter included with these gas masks. Many old Soviet GOST filters contain asbestos, an extremely dangerous substance that when inhaled, can cause lung damage and cancer. Keep both of the plugs on this filter in so you don't risk you or your family's safety.

It is a lovely thing. It has to much history behind it, and it visited France and New York before it got to me ☺️. All comments behind, this IS in fact the real deal. If you want to wear it as a prop, GET IT A SIZE BIGGER. These things are meant to be tight. Absolutely love it!!!

Everything came in the package that said it would. The Gas Mask has some discoloration on the right side, but that's okay. The carrying bag anti - fog lenses are helpful. It came with a GP-7K filter made in 1999. It shipped out 9 days after I bought it and it said I would receive it Tuesday, August 15, through Tuesday September 5th. I instead received it August 4th. I soaked it in vinegar for 45 minutes and then washed it off a few times and now it is great and fun to wear. I hope I won't have to use it for it's intended purpose though!

I bought this for one of those "just in case" moments but it is also nice having a little piece of history from the Cold War era for such a low price! Shipping was fast, it came 3 weeks early all the way from Ukraine.The size is accurate, my head is about 25 inches around so I bought a medium and it is a very tight fit but that's what you want! Also, shave before you put it on or it will be irritating.They are functional. You can find plenty of videos on YouTube of people testing them out.Everything pictured was included, nicely packaged, and came undamaged with the exception of a couple rusty buttons but that adds to the aesthetic in my opinion.Very happy with this purchase!

After doing some research, I discovered i received the PMG-2. Very pleasant surprise, excellent condition, came with all the goodies as described.

It's honestly a great mask. Took a good while to arrive, but it came it great condition. The mask fits snug, it's supposed to. The filter is good. The bag is a nice extra feature, it's well made and is a good size. The mask came in preserving powder, I wiped mine down with a Huggies wipe. Great mask, would definitely reccomend for costumes or otherwise.
