Excellent Results!!
I purchased this Cell Phone Repeater on Amazon. My package came with an aerial antenna, cable from the aerial antenna to the amplifier, the amplifier, cable from the amplifier to the indoor directional antenna, and the directional antenna. It included mounting hardware.Based upon weather conditions I have historically had intermittent cell service at my home, so was forced to keep a landline as an emergency backup. Additionally, I am remodeling and am putting radiant barrier on the ceiling, outside walls, and in the floor throughout the entire house. I expected this to make my bad reception much worse. Hence, I thought I would see if a repeater would truly help. After a little research, I purchased this model.I needed to locate the amplifier in the center of the house, so I felt the indoor directional antenna would not be as beneficial, since my office is located "behind" the antenna. I contacted the company and they immediately sent out a omni-directional antenna at no cost. I could not be happier!I used OpenSignal (an app on Play Store to find the direction of the cell tower my device attaches to when at home). It is easy to use and shows an arrow pointing towards the tower that is accessed. I installed the aerial antenna on a 30' tower I put up and pointed the antenna towards the cell tower shown on the OpenSignal app. Be sure to drive an 8' ground rod and attach the rod to your tower. I used #4 multi-strand copper wire.I routed the cable from the aerial antenna to the location in my house where I would place the amplifier. I used zip ties to secure the cable to one leg of the tower. The outdoor aerial antenna needs to be 25 feet vertically or 32 feet horizontally from the indoor antenna. The signal strength on my Galaxy s24 Ultra before turning on the amplifier was -117dBm to -121dBm (which is poor). I have AT&T/FirstNet. The phone registered 2 bars of 4G signal, which is as good as it ever gets at home. I plugged in the amp and immediately the signal strength improved to -79 dBm and the phone screen registered 5 bars of 5G service!!!It is an unbelievably incredible system. I will purchase this same repeater if this one is damaged by lightning. The only negative is that the attachment of the aluminum antenna to the aluminum mounting plate is with two aluminum rivets. One rivet failed during preparations to mount it so I drilled out both rivets and mounted the antenna to the bracket with two panhead screws/washers/lock washers/nuts. I did not want a heavy wind to break it loose from the bracket.

6 hours to install, does not help - Updated after Company responded
I live in a canyon with very limited cell service. I had an older booster that was installed before I bought the house and I was not getting much from it anymore, so I decided to upgrade to this model. I rented a 30’ scissor lift and installed this exactly where the old one was.No change to signal strength. -120dBm, which is terrible. I moved uphill 30’, no change, tried 4 other locations around the house, the best I got to was -114dBm.Need to get to at least -95, which seems not attainable. Tried returning it, but 7 days past the deadline. This is because I had to rent the scissor lift, which was not available until today. That also cost me an extra $200. Waste of time and money. Frustrated and disappointed.07/18/24 Update - Although I was not able to get this booster to work for me, the company contacted me right away and offered to send me another unit. I did not accept the offer because my installation requires me to rent another scissor lift and I do not want to chance it not working again. After that, they offered to refund my money, even though we are past the 30 days. This seller is paying attention and I give them credit for trying to make this work.

Can't tell if defective or just terrible
**Update** Seller was very helpful and eager to make things right. I was sent a replacement which is working perfectly now. PROTIP: our amplifier usually doesn't show -any band lights-, even when it's correctly working. We live in the mountains of NC. We have the absolute worst and weakest signal imaginable, even outside on a 20 foot ladder, it's barely enough to get 1 bar. If you're like us and it seems like your booster kit isn't working just because the band lights don't come on, try connecting the indoor side and testing with your phones anyway. Both the defective item and the replacement item behaved this way with the lights, and I felt dejected after climbing down the ladder when the replacement's lights were still unlit. I sat down on the couch, only to discover my cell phone had full bars and -no X over the signal by the time-. Ran speed tests and made a call-- all working. Checked amplifier-- only light was power. The only way we could tell the replacement was working was to try to use our phones anyway.Final conclusion: minus one star for less-than-perfect experience from the beginning. We have awful LTE connectivity in my area. However, my phone is an Android device and I'm rooted. I'm a network and systems administrator by trade. I was already very familiar with the LTE Discovery app before I ever purchased this product, along with the relative locations and distances of the closest towers for my providers (AT&T & Verizon-- I have two SIMS). I am able to regularly obtain a stable signal at two locations on my property. The strength ranges from -107 to -115 (on LTE bands 12 and 13). This is not fantastic, but considering the size of the directional antenna I was sent, this just shouldn't be a problem in any way for this thing to pick it up.I have tried using it in both locations in every conceivable configuration, horizontal and vertical polarity, also at 45 degrees just to check. I have managed to make this thing pick up signal maybe 1 time in 20. I have tried placing it on poles, and at the top of my 30 foot house. I eventually even used a 30 foot ladder and a metal pole., strapping it to a tree and running an outdoor extension cable to the amplifier. At that point, my cell phone had -102 as the signal on band 13. The signal booster antenna was pointed perfectly in the direction of the tower. I got 0 connection on the amplifier. Nothing. At another point, the coax cable for the connection between the antenna and the amp fell out of the metal screw connection on the amp side. I crimped it back on, thinking "Oh! maybe it was just a bad termination!" but it made no difference.I have tried for almost 2 weeks now to get this working but it's just not happening. And now because the cable fell out and a couple of the stupid silicone protectors for the ends of the antenna rods went missing while i was hauling it around, I doubt I can even send it back for a replacement.Who knows what other connections weren't well terminated? It seems, based on reviews, like some users have great success with this thing, so maybe the one I got was just defective. Unfortunately, I will never know.
