A valuable requirement for many Chinese and American Chinese dishes.
It really does make a different in my cooking. The shipment was packed well and received in the stated time.

Great flavor. Cute spoon.
Ordered this because it was part of a recipe I wanted to try. Lost the recipe but now I throw a little bit in with anything Asian or stir fried veg. Ads saltiness and umami and depth of flavor.

Good for cooking with... and the rice wine too!
Got this rice cooking wine for an Asian dish that super-chef son wanted to make. It was quite good, not harsh or mineral-like. And I LOVE the adorable spoon that came with it, though I am uncertain what they intended it to be used for...

Decent quality Shaohsing wine
I used this in my beef lo mein probably about a day or two after I received it. It's salted, but it has a good quality scent, and it evaporated nicely and did add additional flavor. I probably otherwise would have used sherry, but this added a deeper flavor. It's a good sized bottle, too, so I'll probably have it for a while. The spoon is rather nice, too, and the long handle is helpful when swirling into the perimeter of your wok and you aren't measuring, just tasting as you go.

Dislike that the last two times I’ve ordered this cooking wine it arrived shattered, not packaged appropriately. Like it in my stir fry

Second Choice of 4 in Simultaneous Taste Test
I did a simultaneous taste test of 4 Shao Xing (salted) cooking wines - Golden Brand, Quin Hu, Rich Pagoda (One NineChef), and Pagoda Brand HuaDiao. Golden and Quin Hu had barely perceptible scent and no flavor but salt. You may as well buy salt water and add 2 drops of dry sherry as use these. The 2 Pagodas were also very salty, but had the scent and some flavor beyond the salt. The One NineChef was a tiny bit less complex (flavor and scent) than the HuaDiao, but both were better choices as a salted cooking wine.
