Really pretty!

I gave my wife a set of Spode tea pot, Spode sugar and creamer, Spode salt and pepper shakers, all in this Spode Christmas theme.The primary reason for buying them was because of the Christmas tree theme. We have a lot of Christmas trees ranging from a couple of full sized trees to smaller decorative Christmas trees such as Charlie Brown's or ceramic trees from the past, to art deco and impressionistic trees. Last year I counted about 39 different trees, some were difficult to find/see, but they were there. So kind of as a joke, I decided that these would be a great way to up the count on our Christmas tree collections, and they would actually be very cute, functional, and used with pleasure too.It turned out that my wife loved them! Far more than what I imaged. I expected maybe a little scolding and some laughter, but no, she was over joyed with getting them because she's been admiring them for decades and was super delighted to get them.I honestly think my joke even backfired on me too. You see, the first thing she done after opening all of her presents was to order for a full place setting of Spode plates, salad plates, mugs, and cereal bowls, plus a set of Spode coffee cups too. We just got that delivery a few hours ago. And now she's planning on expanding the set with even more Spode from their Christmas theme.Although this tea pot is very nice, and could be highly valued as a nice usable collectable, I'm warning everyone that this could lead to the pursuit of collecting a lot more Spode. So be careful when give this as a joke gift because it may backfire, and if it does, well then just enjoy them all.
