Added features and qualities to the Samsung filter for a Samsung refrigerator essential. Do not substitute generic filters. Water quality noticeable with generic. Quality drinking water and ice cubes with Samsung filter essential especially if living in any area relying on locked in lakes or resevoirs despite quality water ratings from m=unicipal water sources. Remmber that water still has to run through underground primary and distribution pipes. Staty with the enhanced Samsung filter. Its worth the extra cost.

Samsung water filter fit perfectly. Came sealed in plastic with lock lid, with authentication identifiermethod.I have the Samsung French door refrigerator, with one drawer freezer/ and ice maker in freezer.Model# shown in picture. Pricey, but I never try to match generic/universal parts, due to warranties.Filter was hard for me to turn to remove used filter. My son had to do this part due to my arthritic hands. He also installed the new one with me managing over to the side. Observed no leaks after installation.
