works well for 2001 Subaru Forester
Works as expected. I have a feeling that if you have old sensors, it is best to replace them to get the best out of your car.I had used the Torque app for Android ( and the BAFX OBD scanner) to identify an older knock sensor code and noticed that the O2 sensor wasnt really giving a full range reading. A month after changing the knock sensor, lo and behold, the O2 sensor code comes up (P0136).I looked around the sensor and all the wires looked ok. I reset the code and it came back on.Then I ordered this part and was able to change it with an adjustable spanner and a few hits from the car's tire iron. It is a 15 minute job at the most. Though, you do have to lie down under the car.I expected the light to go out by itself. I was probably impatient and ended up clearing it my self.I notice better driving with the new part and slightly better mileage.

Direct replacement part for Subaru.
I was getting the P0420 code on long drives. I replaced both O2 sensors and haven't had the code since, and gas mileages is up a s high as it's ever been, on a 19 year old car with over 172k miles on. These things do need to be replaced and it's not a difficult job. just be sure to have a specific O2 sensor socket on hand.

Good part with competitive pricing...
The sensor installs nicely and has been working great to replace the worn out unit in the Subaru Impreza RS. Sensor arrived quickly after purchase and in excellent condition when inspecting the part after receiving it from shipping. When comparing this exact part model number with other major auto shops-- the price was very competitive and arrived quicker than ordering for delivery elsewhere so that I could avoid any further wear and tear during my daily commute.

Worked for me
I have a 2001 subaru forester with 95000 miles that had the check engine light on. I pulled the code to find it was a 420 or clogged catalytic converter. Reading help forums online most people had luck by chanaging 02 sensors. So I already changed the front 02 sensor for another problem. Thr rear 02 was the only on left to changed before droping lots of money on a new catalytic converter. I have driven more than 1000 since the change and the check engine light hasn't come on yet.

Fit perfectly.
Fit fine, check engine light went out almost immediately, fuel economy increased dramatically, inside of tailpipe went from black and oily to dry and grey.

Fixed P0420
2001 Subaru Forester was showing a P0420 check engine code which is "Catalytic Converter Efficiency Below Threshold". Dealer shop wanted to replace the catalytic converter, but research on some discussions groups suggested it could be the O2 sensor. Bought this first before spending hundreds on a new converter, and glade I did. Exact fit, easy to replace (if you can change your own oil, you can do this job), and check engine light has been off for a month now. If your Subaru is running fine but you are seeing this engine code, try this first.

Works good, new sensor.
It's a new Bosch sensor, I bought this one and the other one because I was getting both O2 codes coming up.I had the front O2 code for a couple years and eventually the rear code started coming up as well. They both made the codes go away, it's been 400 km since replacing. I notice a bit of an improvement in performance, and a little bit on economy. In the winter sometimes I'd smell gas, maybe because of the sensor making too rich ?

So far it works fine, was identical fitment to the factory sensor that ...
Don't know how the dealer charges three times more for this. So far it works fine, was identical fitment to the factory sensor that failed.
