The replacement for the traditional daisy chain, the Chain Reactor absorbs enough energy to withstand three factor 2 drops. Available in a PRO version, this product is ideal for all climbers, institutions, or guide services.

Excellent!
I have several Sterling brand ropes and they're all great-They're one of the most respected rope manufacturers...I use this as my PAS (Personal Anchor System) since I prefer the nylon webbing over the Metolius Dyneema-higher melting point and gives some "stretchiness" or dynamic ability, altough I wouldn't want to take more than a few inches fall on it. I like having the various loops for adjustibility and I use two of the loops for redundancy (one for each bolt) when I'm setting an anchor.I don't see the need for the doubled tether on the Pro version and the length is fine for me (there is a longer one availiable).Highly recommend!

Good quality and high strength
I made the mistake of buying the all black version. I don't recommend buying a PAS that is all one color. Its better to have at least the end a different color so that you can tell the difference between the end and the middle when unclipping from your harness. I like to keep my PAS tidy by bundling several loops onto the carabiner before clipping it to my harness. This PAS is great quality and will be more than safe for its intended use. Is a bit bulkier than others. I recommend the PAS from Misty Mountain over this one. Misty Mountain is less bulky and rated the same.

Bomber PAS
Nice Personal Anchor System. I bought this version as it was one of the longest on the market, only by an inch or two. This is a solid PAS and you won't be disappointed. But next time I might go with a different brand. This PAS might be too long, I usually don't use the last link. Also the webbing is wide. Its not heavy, but does take up some space on your belay loop.

this is the better PAS, if only because nylon has some give ...
Sorry metolious, this is the better PAS, if only because nylon has some give - no one should subject their PAS to a fall factor over 1 but on the off chance you do something stupid... Always plan for a stupid mistake, even the best of us make em.

Great chain!
Easy to use and does the job. I like that the loops are made with a softer material and are a little longer since it's easier to use and adjust especially when you're up there trying to anchor yourself.

Has kept me from falling off a cliff every time I use it. Definitely a good investment. And in all seriousness, I love the chain style and find this very light and simple to use when cleaning anchors

Ideal rapid belay/abseil device
I chose the Sterling Ropes Chain Reactor over it's rivals because it's of nylon (extensible) as opposed to dyneema (static). Although the nylon is broader this does not make the device heavier, and because it's more flexible than the stiffer dyneema it's no more obtrusive to carry. Having rreceived it I'm very pleased with my choice.

Great PAS
I've been using this as my personal anchoring system and I love it. It's super easy to make it redundant by using a couple loops. I also use it to extend my rappel and it works perfectly.
