Is as advertised. Can go in laundry. Material not thick so if liquid gets on cloth, may seep through.

I've used the 10 oz. fabric for other projects (drapes & upholstery), but I need to make drapes for a really long rod and I think the 10 oz. will be too heavy for the rod to support. As a result, I got the 8 oz. fabric this time and used it for the patio door in the same area (see picture).Fabric Weight: After washing, the 10 oz. fabric feels like Levi jeans, while the 8 oz. fabric feels more like a flannel short. The 8 oz. is a nice weight for drapes, and provides more filtered light than the 10oz fabric does. While it's nice for drapes (and maybe slipcovers for dining room chairs), I think it's probably too lightweight to use for upholstery.Fabric Drape: The drape for the 8 oz. is much more fluid than the 10 oz., with the exception of the double-fold hems I put in (which is to be expected).Seams: I have ordered this brand drop cloth several times and have never received one with seams breaking the piece. The ends are hemmed and the sides are the fabric selvages.Color: Out of the package, the color is a nice oatmeal. Although I didn't dye these particular cloths, I have dyed other ones which worked very well because they're a natural cotton fabric.Price: This is infinitely cheaper than purchasing the same amount from a fabric store.Size: I carefully measured the fabric out of the package and after washing with hot water and drying on a low setting. Unfortunately I managed to lose the piece of paper where I wrote it down. Needless to say, being cotton it shrank quite a bit. Will post an update if I manage to find it.29-Jul-2021: I was cutting the fabric for drapes, and just found a snag (see picture) on one side. I've purchased 5 (I think) of these cloths, and this is the first time I've seen anything like this. There is a chance that it happened when I washed it, I don't really know, but I'd advise checking both side of the entire drop cloth before proceeding. I'm just going to make sure that it's on the "wrong side" (not a big deal). I also may cut it & seal it with a little drop of 'fray check' - undecided

This product is heavy so if you gotta put it up over big furniture be prepared unfolded as much as you can before sliding it up over the furniture it does a great job make sure you mark the side that’s gonna have the paint on it all the time so you could fold it in itself And then open it back up on the Paint side again you wipe off any excess paint before storage it does a great job perfect size make sure you get this size if you get two of them that is more than enough A large to average room

I ordered a few of these "drop cloths" because I wanted to make my own shades for the pergola patio cover. Easy to measure and cut. Absolutely have to sew hems on raw edges as this material will ravel.We put them up in April and take them down (and wash them before storage) in October. Has lasted six seasons with annual small patching. Pretty good longevity considering rain, wind and sun. I must tell you that this material will shrink! We worked around that. All in all, I feel like we got our money's worth.

I used one of the largest drop cloths and the next smallest size to create a dog and kid proof sofa cover for my oversized couch. I’d recommend washing and drying first since fabric does shrink. Very durable material and easy to use. Side note, if you’re looking to do something similar and aren’t a seamstress, peel and stick Velcro is your best friend (:

I bought this to use as stretched canvas for painting studies and it worked perfect for that application.It is very thick, accepts gesso and paint very well, doesn’t have a seam and has become my go to for stretching canvases, especially for studies.It is very well made and if you use it to cover your floor, it would take a ton of paint to go through it.YouCan use it for various other things as well like cheap curtains, covers for chairs, etc. sky is the limit.

I bought one of these drop cloth's in order to make several projects with it.I plan on making placemats, napkins, table runner, chair cushion covers, curtains for a dog bed, couch covers and maybe a few other things.For the table items, I plan on doing a buffalo check pattern on them using paint but I first needed to bleach the drop cloth so it'll turn white. Bleaching it worked well and I now have crisp white material to work with.I like the fact that this had no seams so it's less product I have to waste.I'm not a handy person when it comes to sewing, so rather than killing myself with needles, I opted to make 1 placemat using tape to make the seams to see how it came out.Then I decided to tape the placemat and paint it with black & grey to form the buffalo check pattern.Not bad for my first try and although I don't mind using the tape to make the edging, I think I would much rather give it a more professional edge so I'll be having a friend do the sewing for me.I really like this drop cloth so I'll be buying more in the future.I got the 9x12 and since I will be cutting it up into pieces, the actual size doesn't matter.
