It works
I had my doubts when I received this adapter because it doesn't quite match the picture, and its card slot is wider than it needs to be for the ADATA drive that came with the ASUS Zenbook UX31A. However, there is an outline of the drive on the adapter's board which matches the shape and size of the ADATA drive, and it works with the supplied USB cable or directly through a SATA port.NOTE: the USB cable has two plugs, and both must be used for it to be effective. That's not criticism, just an observation.

Perfect for testing a U100 POS Zenbook Prime SSD in your workstation to prove it's bad. Which it will be.
Worked as advertised to adapt the U100 POS SSD hard drive from a Asus Zenbook Prime UX31A so I could plug it into my workbench computer and test the drive. Which was bad. Which I already deduced. I just needed the proof. For the record, QNINE sells a U100 to M.2 SATA adapter for these computers and it worked perfectly to adapt a Samsung Evo 860 M.2 Sata drive to fit the Zenbook. It even works fine running Windows 10 v1803 now. No small miracle.

Get this one, it worked perfectly once I figured out how it connected with the drive.
Great product, highly recommended for these rare ssd drives that look basically like RAM.

When I got it at first I thought this was a wrong connector as it was wider then the one on the motherboard. You have to just fit the key slot and it works. I was able to recover my lost files and it really saved me lots of headache
