Poulan ProPR2322 22-Inch 23cc 2 Cycle Gas Powered Dual Sided Hedge Trimmer

Despite the fact that the rotatable handle is a bit flimsy, it's amazing. Engine runs quiet. Blades are sharp. Cuts much better than my electric trimmer. Well balanced. Starts right up every time following the instructions. For $99 you can not beat it.

I have used it for cutting our junipers. It is really nice to be able to turn the handle so you can cut the sides. I have had some trouble with the idle when the handle is turned. It has been shutting off. It dead headed all of our lillys and it saved a lot of time. I am still impressed on how well it works. The other problem with the stopping with the handle I will address later.

It runs great, easy to start and man can it cut. We have blackberries every where and cuts right through them and shrubs and lavender. But it is heavy, my arms get tired.

Needed to replace our old hedge trimmer and found this one online. ( local stores were only selling electric ones) the power is great, it cuts through bigger branches which is a big plus. Was also a great value for the money.

Well, I'd seen the one-star reviews stating that this trimmer wouldn't start. I also saw the four- and five-star reviews saying it started right up. I elected to gamble on the 92% "it'll start fine" reviews. And. I. Lost. Followed the directions (though it's pretty straight-forward; trimmer comes completely assembled, you just need to add gas+oil and you're supposedly good to go) and got nothing but a sore shoulder for my trouble. Even gave it an overnight rest just in case I'd flooded it accidentally (I knew I hadn't, but whatchagonnado), but still couldn't get it to start the next day. This is a real shame, as I'd been under the impression that Poulan was a quality brand. I guess maybe they've done what a lot of other formerly great companies have done and licensed their name to secondary manufacturers who build crap. My advice: STAY AWAY FROM THIS TRIMMER! Or at the very least, save the box(es) and materials it comes in and with.For the record, the return could not have been easier. Printed out the return docs, put everything back in the boxes, taped em up and dropped em off at the UPS store. Amazon Prime proves its worth once again.

I see a lot of negative reviews, but I have had different results. I purchased a trimmer that was returned for funds because it was not functioning properly. Upon getting it , the trimmer started up but would not run more that a minute. I cleaned the spark plug, took a look at the gas filter and hoses and saw that someone left gas with probably too much oil mixture and dry up and block the hoses. I put a new gas filter & hoses on and this trimmer - runs like a BEAR! I have over grown shrubs for five years and this machines cut through 3/4" & 1" ++++branches like butter. I also like the way you can turn the handle 360 for different cutting. I use 50:1 mix with 95 octane unlead NON ETHONAL gas w/MAXIMA Formula K2 Racing oil. I use this blend with all my 2 cycle engines. I have several HIGHLY rated electric trimmers, but the power in this with PR22322 is no comparison to electric trimmers. This Trimmer is a BEAST! YOU CAN GO ANYWHERE WITH IT! Some buyers may have physical mechanical issues with PR22322 , but I think most "1" and "2" ratings are from operator error. I would recommend over the higher priced $500 = $600 trimmers. I several Poluan Pro chain saws and they run GREA and several S_TI+L, but make no mistake the are not the same a S_I_H_L, but a 1/3 to 1/4 the cost.

We own an old Victorian Home that has been beautifully landscaped with MANY bushes and shrubs. However, I always hated spring and fall pruning as it would take forever (sometimes a whole weekend or more).... Not anymore! This Trimmer is a beast and we knocked out the trimming in a fraction of the time. LOVE IT! Very easy to use but can get a little heavy after a while if you are trimming alone. My husband and I stand on opposite sides of the bushes/shrubs and hand it back and forth to allow breaks. We love it and our landscaping looks fantastic!
