I thought this would be a great surprise for not just my dog, but also my husband the first time my dog "squeaked" it. Wrong. It makes hardly any noise at all - it took me half an hour to figure out the exact spot to squeeze to get it to make noise, and then you had to be standing pretty close to hear it at all, and identifying the noise was impossible. Very disappointed, especially since it cost more than I would normally spend on something like this (my dog usually rips all of the stuffing out of dog toys so we usually buy her the tuff toys with the super strong seams.).

I wanted to love them. They really are adorable and the noise was amusing. Plus the fact that the company donates a portion is wonderful. Here is the BUT. I purchased two for my two yellow labs for Christmas. One didn't last more than a day before the nose got chewed and had a hole. The second one has lasted a month so far, but it doesn't make the sound anymore. Nothing sadder than hearing the dog chewing at the squeaker without getting any sounds.

I have an energetic one-year old dog, and am constantly looking for toys to entertain her. The squeaky toys she loves get super annoying after a while, so I thought I would try something a bit different. The "farting" noise is really more like the growler used occasionally in teddy bears. Even better, my dog loves this thing. Great toy. I have had to repair it a couple of times, so not sure this would be suitable for a large strong dog, but for my little girl it is just fine.

My girls love Gilbert! I laugh every time it goes off. People are surprised to hear him rip one instead of the usual squeaking sound that most toys have. I hope the company creates more toys like this one!The customer service is great as well. I had an issue with my first order and they took care of it very quickly - no problem. I'd order from them again without hesitation because of the way they handled my inquiry.

This is the best toy! It will make everyone laugh. The "noises" are not annoying like other pet toys that squeak. Well made heavy duty fabric and Gilbert will actually sit up and stay! I have recommended Gilbert to all my friends. You will NOT be disappointed by this purchase. Can't wait for more products from The Farting Dog Company!

What... A farting giraffe named Gilbert ! I had to get it ! Such a great toy my pups love it ! The farting noise throws them off it's really hilarious . I would totally buy again and recommend this dog toy. Great quality ! Super funny !

Our older yellow lab (114 lbs) loves these toys. She has a large stack of toys and will choose several through out the day to play and sleep with. She is a 100% indoor dog and has never been an aggressive chewer since she passed the age of 4. However, these toys do stand up to constant loving and and some pulling and chewing.

Toy arrived in good shape but very dissapointed that the fart is so quite. I wanted something loud to entertain my 10 week old puppy but i'm pretty sure she has louder gas than this thing. In other words if you want a toy that has a audible noise for people or animals that are gifted with the ability to hear, don't buy this
