Great bay window curtain rod
Very sturdy curtain rod with an ingenious design that really works. The directions are easy to understand and it was as easy as any to put up. The parts were all there and everything was of high quality and worked fine. I would definitely get this curtain rod again if I ever run across another bay window.

Some Problems
I like the curtain rod and think it's well made. The returns on the side rods allow the curtain to meet the wall which blocks out more light. That's a nice feature. The 1" is sturdy enough to hang my heavy, lined curtains. Putting it together is pretty simple.I had to return the item and order a replacement, though. The wall plate for mounting one of the side rods was missing and there was no way to work around it. I would have simply called the manufacturer/importer to get the missing piece, but there is no contact information on the instruction sheets and I couldn't find one on Amazon either. It seems like such a huge waste of (my) time & (their) money to have to return the entire item instead of just ordering the one missing piece. I would have given it 4 stars had they included contact info for missing parts & questions.I recommend the item, but really look closely to make sure you have all of the parts before you start.

A Quality Choice (despite the included instructions)
I bought floor to ceiling drapes for my bay window and I was able to install this rod and the blackout curtains by myself (35/female).The only reason I gave this a 4 is because you have to buy other screws. Other than that, the rod is GREAT!My helpful suggestions:1. Throw out the included screws and buy other 3/8" screws such as the 1-1/2 in "Walldogs" screw & anchor-in-one which are made for mounting in plaster, wood or concrete WITHOUT a plastic anchor. Only about $5 at a major home improvement store.2. I put the right and left bracket more towards the curved ends than the instructions requested. The way they have it written, the curtains would sag on the ends.3. I highly suggest putting the rod together on the floor and adjusting it to the shape of your wall before trying to put the curtains on it or set it up on the brackets. The two curved end pieces have a set screw and the ability to extend the projection so it is flush with the wall. Make sure you have the set screw so that it will be on the bottom of the rod when mounted. This makes it easier to adjust. (If it's on the top, remove each end and switch them).4. With the rod taken apart on the floor, I put the two curtains on the middle "double-female" rod, put the corner pieces in the middle rod, then I mounted this WITHOUT the two end pieces. Then, I took the left "male" part of the rod, scrunched the two curtains on, then slid it into the "female" end on the corner. Then I did the same to the right side. This worked well.PROS:- The rod itself is a good, sturdy, well-made quality product.- A handy female, such as myself, did this project in about one-hour from unpacking to mounted (not counting the trip to the store for new screws. And, also, not counting the ironing and actual hanging of the curtains)- Looks much more expensive than it actually cost.- Holds blackout curtains without an issue.CONS:- You MUST buy other screws or it will never hang on the wall. (Or, if you try to use the included screws, a canister of spackling to fix your mistake holes & divets -- and honestly, I made enough of those for the both of us! -- plus, You'll still have to go buy new screws)- The directions pretty much suck.I WOULD recommend this to a friend.

It works but not great quality
At the end of the day, this curtain rod works but it’s so hard to set up because the instructions are the worst instructions I’ve ever encounter on my Amazon purchases! Some of the parts were already set up and I kept trying and trying to figure it out. It’s sturdy but the finishing is not smooth. You def need someone to help you with. I did it by myself and it took forever!I like the end result because I made it work but I would not buy it again!

Works great
We just moved into a new home with large bay windows and this allowed me to hang curtains easily. I'm buying another set of rods for the other bay windows as well.

All items not in package
This would have been an awesome purchase however, the mounting brackets and instructions were not in the box when it arrived. I had to purchase the brackets on top of paying for this product. I didn't want to have to return it because of the process would take too long.
