Q: Would this work well to line the inside of roof on a metal building to keep it from becoming so hot inside?

The way radiant barrier works is to reflect the radiant heat back out. That being said, if this material is touching the inside of your metal building, then it will conduct heat easily through it. In other words it is fantastic at reflecting radiant heat, but will not block heat that is conducted through it. It is best to install it on the inside of your framework (rafters) with an air gap between it and your roof. The product installed in that fashion works excellent. I installed it in my house over a year ago, and the hottest three months of the year, I saved 100.00 a month on my power bill. I just purchased this brand to do the inside roof of my shop (metal building).

Yes, aluminum tape works well w/ this.
