I have purchased these silica capsules, as I wanted to add silica to my vitamins for two reasons - promoting strong bones (and therefore reducing my risk of osteoporosis in older age and helping with my active lifestyle) and helping with the condition of my skin hair and nails.Silica is a mineral that the body uses to help utilise calcium into strong bones and teeth, etc. It also reported to help promote a proper mineral balance between calcium and magnesium in the body. Silica also helps with transport of necessary for growth and vitality to areas of the body such as skin, hair and nails. As my multivitamin and mineral supplement contains only calcium and vitamin D3, I felt that a silica supplement would be a good addition.This supplement also contains selenium and biotin. Selenium is reported to hair antioxidant properties and help protect cells from damage. Biotin is meant to help with hair loss (preventing it of course), brittle nails and conditions such as skin rashes. So these in the supplement are nice, complimentary additions.The item arrived quickly and as described. Tablets are in a resealable pouch, which is easy to store. I have only just started taking them, so will need to update at some stage on how I am finding their effectiveness.

These silica capsules have really helped me in my journey growing nails & hair. They boost the growth together with biotin. They are easy to swallow and will last you a while. Do wish they had a bottle version aswell but I don't mind the pouch version. Overall you get good value for money.

Good for splitting nails

I got these 4 days ago, and I must admit I've only been taking them for three day, so I can't really say if they are doing anything, I have never been very good at swallowing capsules, better with tablets, and these capsules do get stuck in my throat, as they are a bit on the large side, maybe if they were in smaller capsules, with no fillers? I would find them easy to swallow, as I do get smaller capsules from a seller in America with no fillers, and I have no bother with them.

Have taken these for years for my skin. Work well with starflower oil and collagen tablets. Never found better.
