Q: I want to sleep in these. Which type (the headband or the neckband is better for sleeping/resting in? Will it be possible to sleep with these?

I have headband set and use them for operating garden motor equipment. They attenuate the sound to a sufficient level and are reasonably comfortable to wear but not sure about sleeping whilst wearing headphones is he right answer to a noise issue.

Q: Will they suit people wearing spectacles?

I wear protective glasses with them. They are good with those but for normal reading/general glasses it might not fit as the ear defenders squeeze them of your face

Q: Are these suitable for shotgun shooting and are they adjustable

The Optime 1 is fine but I personally would look at the Peltor X3A as this has high attenuation while being in a slim line ear defender and all the Peltor units are adjustable.

Q: do you think they could block a road noise during the night?

I recommend you buy radio music ear defenders rather than this type, the music or radio will block road noise out.
